I was on someone else's yard not to long ago and this person had a bitch that was about 32 lbs..She was wagging her tail wide open and dancing around , just begging for my attention and I wanted to handle her bad.Owner said do not touch that one as she will rip u a new one.I took his advice..He said I have only saw her act that way with one other man, said she usually chomps at the bits when a stranger gets near her..

That is another great point there Bama. Even if you think your the dog whisperingest whisperer listen to the dog owners advice about their charges they might just know a thing or two about there animals/animals. you may have even proved someone wrong once, beware it only takes one wrong move with one wrong dog. All that said I have known a person or two who could walk up on any dog, just had a way and a knowledge about them, but they also would be ready to move like quicksilver if the need arose.

If you think about all the thousands of dogs that have passed through the yards of these old dogmen the percentage of reported man biters is very low. Probably lower than if you kept any other type of dog.

To call a legend stupid because you dont agree with his exceptance of manbiters lacks true understanding of the men like Tudor that forged these bulldogs...

I might not agree with thier tatics and might not except amongst my own bulldogs but...
I DO RESPECT THE MEN BEHIND THEM and if you dont,,, I would say this breed they forged isnt for you...

The mountian mans kids didnt get bit,,, maybe d adams made a stupid deccission that all that keep those types can learn from...

He was the fastest, smartest, and most effective head dog that I have ever seen. He had natural air and I never saw him slow down. He was a very intense dog and he loved to fight. When in the corner he would scream with rage until he was released into the other dog. Occasionally, he would bite you if not released quick enough.*

This information was obtained from The Canine Performance Journal magazine back in MAY/JUNE of 1996

I think that makes him a man biter...lol

Sounds more like an excite biter than a man biter.

What was interesting was that the owner of the blog states their main objective is obtaining information to create an atmosphere in which the Pitbull will be neutered and euthanized into extinction? But then claims to be searching for the "truth" Bwhahahaha..no bias there.

Not in my definition maybe yours. Big difference in a dog thats amped up and wants let go to action and a dog that will bite you just because your in reach.

    Not saying it's not...lol
Think about it... if he biting in the corner, how can you get a good handle, when it's time...
The ideal pitbull, should ever, for no reason bite a man woman or child... point blank he is a man biter...lol

I don't call nipping biting. I've got a couple dogs that'll turn around nipping if your trying to handle from behind. I look at it like I would myself, if I'm brawling and your my friend, don't touch me from behind because I might punch the Shit out of you before I realize your friend not foe

man biter is a way different ...had a excit biter that was the best companion for my children and their friends...but not on the chain between other dogs. When you hold him from action he was trying to bite you...as a house pet he was sweet gentle thing...

I got two or three, that if I'm not around, will get you...
Regardless of the reason, the dog should not bite, nip or whatever(according to the standard of what a pitbull's temperament should be)... unless trained IMHO of course there are always exceptions
