I believe u need special equipment ur better off going to a vet that specializes in that sort of thing I know In california there's a vet who works with alot of English bull dogs so he does alot of A.I

You will need a cryogenic freezer and it's a better option to just use a vet facility and pay the fee to store it there. Besides who the hell wants to jack off a dog.

    Camelot Farms sells a kit.

I use a sandwich bag, a syringe and a plastic oxygen tube.

But I am cheap like that.

I've used the Camelot Farms Kit as well, nice inexpensive kit that will have everything you need in it. I also like one that comes from Reese Ranch Animal services, it too is real basic and inexpensive. I have also used a baggie with a centrifuge tube pushed through the corner of it if I'm doing both the collection and insertion right then and there. I'll get fancier if I'm shipping intercontinental. I use this kit from Canine Express that has anything you'd need and then some in it. Even the lube to work your stud over with lol. I hate that awkward moment when one of my studs and I make eye contact when I'm doing a collection. We both act a little weird towards eachother for a while afterwards. =))

You have like 72+ hours with the semen extender added to get it to where it needs to be when doing chilled though so you're limited on distances with chilled. Frozen you need both a ton of equipment for as well as the technical know how to do both ends, collect/freeze and the vet for thaw/insert. Better off just taking the dog to a vet that does reproductive services for dogs if you're working with frozen.

Been a while since I even bothered with A.I. this was probably the last time I even bothered with it. My Geachison was like damn near 58lbs and Arial was like upper 20s. Bitch looked the size of a 8 month old pup. Didn't have a tooth in her head lol. We tried naturally for 3 hours then decided fuck it and went the A I. route.

I prefer a natural tie though if it's an option.

I have a male that will not breed. He bites anything that moves. The female, the lead, the collar, the breed stand, simply does not matter. If it moves he grabs it. Super duper retard.

I would prefer the natural tie myself.

If your dog had thumbs, he would not need you for the collection. Be a pal. LOL

So far my dog Israel is like that. Has no interest in breeding unless it's a humans leg. I'll be trying to get him stuck to something here in the spring. If he continues acting that way though he'll have to be bred artificially. I'm hoping not though. I personally don't want dogs from artificial breedings.

Lol they don't really even need thumbs. I have to listen to old Charlie blow himself extremely enthusiastically to completion in his crate at least 2 times a week. Back legs all up on the crate walls and all. Kind of reminds me of the cripple in scary movie.

Nothing worse around here than just getting into a good movie and all you hear in the other room is that heavy tongue smacking going on. Heathen.

We had a female like that, the bitch would be peak heat and not let ANYTHING get it. I would scratch her right above her tail, and she would flag for me, lol, but as soon as we tried getting the male to mount, she would turn into a rabid lunatic contortionist and try to attack. We had some damn good males lined up, hoping one of them would fit her fancy, but never ended up getting her bred.

All of my females are like that. None will breed without being in a stand and muzzled. I'm so used to having females act that way that it's become normal to just limit their mobility and mouth to get them bred. Unfortunately though, it don't work that way with the boys. They have to not want to fight to perform.

And this is not a knock on dog's that breed and has absolutely no connection to their ability as dog's nor their ability to produce, but....

Where do people get two dog's that are tied and the breeder is able to step back and take a really great picture. No stands, no muzzles, no leads, just two dogs stuck together, maybe even enjoying the moment, I don't know.

I have one with her head cinched to a tree, a half roll of electrical tape on the two muzzles, straddling the female trying to guide him in, or on the ground holding his collar with one hand and using the other taking aim for him, and inevitably I get the first load on me. Neither me nor the bitch ends up with filled with puppies, just a cream pie.

My Stump male is the best 'breeding' male I ever had, and he could be bred hands-off as long as the bitch was frozen still. If she moved or showed aggression, he then became a fight retard.

I do think if I had bred more dogs or bred my dogs more it would be a better experience, but it never seems to work that way for me.

There is a bully dog breeder near here that charges $30 for an insemination and neither dog has to come off the chain. And the thirty dollars includes a Pro-G test to see ensure she is ready.

I can pay $30 and watch doggie porn or I can take a load in the face for free.

As cheap as I am, $30 is not a whole lot of money.

For $30 it's definitely not worth a puppy pie busted all over ya. I've never been particularly fond of the splatter of baby batter.

The dog my yard revolves around (Geachison) was the worse dog to breed I've ever had. 2+ hour ordeal every single time I bred him and you had to do everything, except pump, for him. Instead of pumping for him, you had to make sure he didn't over enthusiastically pump and knot up outside her. Ridiculously exaggerated pumps like bro, ya dick aint that long settle TF down. Everything from getting him in the bitch, to holding him to her ass until he knotted up just so he wouldn't knot up outside of her. He'd knot up 4 or 5 times before actually making an actual tie.. Then you'd have to wait until the knot goes down just to start that shit all over again. In the wild, he'd of gone extinct for sure lol. Was a severe pain in the ass to breed his whole life.

His Son Puro and Grandson Max that I have here on the other hand, are in and out like a robbery. They waste no time and need zero help. They'll see a bitch in a stand and go right to mounting like they own that bitch and knot up. Then, kick their own leg over instead of making me do it. Them are the ones I like Lol. I still have to always be mindful of the bitch though because they fight it the entire time more times than not. I typically take their muzzles off as soon as we get them ass to ass though. The males stay on lead so they can't get close to the working end of the bitch anyway. I do always have to sit there and hold the female still. This is usually when my daughter or whoever is with me helping gets pictures of the breedings.

Truth be told though, I'll do whatever needs to be done to get a good one bred. I deal with far more gross things at work than most anything I've ever encountered breeding dogs.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to make a video of it like Jack did or anything when he made the 25 years of breeding success DVDs. Lmfao But it can be a necessity from time to time if you have dogs that refuse to cooperate when being bred. That is, if you really want offspring off them dogs.

I look out in my backyard though and anything I've ever had to do over the years to get what's back there, was worth having to do.....

Sorry for the book. I'm bored AF at work and still have like 3 hours to go.

I got a good story about the last time I ever bred dogs without putting the bitch in a stand and the nightmare that followed that decision that made me never do it again. Maybe later........

Even if I think a bitch is receptive to breeding, they always go in the stand now and get muzzled here. Frees up you having to deal too much with the bitch so you can focus more on the male.
