    The autopsy was released.
    -Hit atleast 6 times
-All shots fired from the front
-None APPEAR to be fired from close range due to no gun powder on the body; clothes weren't looked at (yet)

I've seen that video, it doesnt prove he attacked the cop, it shows that he was shot away from police vehicle and people in crowd said he tried to run, but all shots came from the front, so in essence if he ran it was after he was shot, or they'd be bullets enter from behind too?

Yeah, Cajun, the guys talking in the video were saying that he got out of the car and started to run away, then turned around and ran back at the cop. Doesn't prove much except that he wasn't on his knees with his hands up or shot in the back. He may have been trying to bum rush the cop, he may have wanted to go the other direction...?

Good post -- I think this cuts to the heart of a lot of these situations. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Fact of the matter is the cop shot an unarmed person for nothing. Basically his crime was jaywalking. Then they try to release a doctored tape to possibly give motive, saying that he committed a robbery earlier that day. Only prob with that is there was no robbery. He bought some cigars, was short what he needed gave some back, had exchange of words with clerk then pushed the clerk after clerk put his hands on him. Clerk is on record saying he didn't take anything and that he didn't call the cops. And cops showed up after Brown was murdered in the street and wanted to file robbery report

Definetly doesn't surprise me that some here feel like this was a justified shooting. The swat team stormed McDonalds and arrested two journalist who were just reporting story, seems like the police have a lot to hide.

Cajun, I hope you're not talking about me thinking this was justified. If so, you need to re-read my posts. All I'm saying is that from the first autopsy report and the eye-witness account it looks he wasn't "executed" with his hands up like people were saying. The news should have probably waited before spreading possible misinformation and causing the riots, but they're in it for the money, too.

As for the police response to the riots, don't get me started. I was pissed 15 years ago when the cops started wearing BDU pants and boots. At this point they're a bunch of scared college boys playing dress up with fancy rifles.

If I had to guess, I'd say this is what happened:

Brown argues with the store clerk and leaves hot. Cop sees him walking down the middle of the road acting pissed and stops him. Brown doesn't feel like hearing the cop's shit, and the cop goes cop on him with the "respect my authority" routine. Cop tries to manhandle Brown into the back of the car and fails, panics, and shoots him.

I think it's some BS either way, but that seems a bit more likely than "cop sees guy walking in the road and shoots him for no reason". No matter what, Brown shouldn't have been killed, but the way this was reported was fuel on a fire.
