So they were erased so there would be more talk on the main forum? Seems like the opposite effect. Happened.

 

Big boy pants? The groups were private, so how would u know what went on in there? To me sounds like you're sucking up, 'cause you're the only one on this thread that wasn't "invited" in the groups jmo .

 

That's exactly how we all felt in the group,we could talk about the dogs we like,and just generally shoot the bull with like minded people.I really liked the group.there was no arguing and everybody pretty much got along.We could still get on the main forum if something interesting was posted.Everyone else was free to form their group if they wanted,it shouldn't of been a big deal if a few guys liked to talk to each other.I'm sure we all have our online friends that we like more than other people on the forum,and we talk to them more.As far as other forums go,I'm a member of a few different APBT forums,gun forums and car forums.There's room for all IMHO,it's not a competition.

 

Exactly... it's not a cometition. and if it was Game-dog would prolly be winning. How many member does this site have compared to the other. there is history over here. I am a member of that other site but i still comback here. Hell the first dog site i was an active member of was PitBull-Chat and I still concider that site "Home". I was more comfortable here at Game-Dog but I still go back home every now and then.

The ones that want to learn, you teach. The ones that don't, you ignore I was never in the private groups, so I really don't know the discussions that took place there.

You guys are the ones whining about the forum, complaining there's no dog talk. Well, members make the forum, so again, put on your big boy pants and start talking dogs.

 

yes you're right "i don't know you", nor would i want to. the people in the groups were making contributions to the forum, even though the private groups were up and running. like others stated there is no competition between the boards, i visit both and so do many others(even yourself "once" did:p). i honestly don't think the groups were trying to promote the other board, there were other topics in there. so again i can't put my "big boy" shorts because they've been on

 

I was not in the private forums and had no desire to be in them. If I want to educate myself or ask a question, I can do it on the board or PM BenBrockton, along with a few others.

The bottom line is that they are not there anymore. So far, alot of the contributions to this forum I have seen were complaints with management, complaints with stuff being deleted. What you and everyone else fails to realize is that alot of stuff goes on behind the scenes that you are unaware of, nor should anyone make you (generally speaking) aware of certain things.

I may own a chihuahua, but please do not under-estimate my knowledge of this breed. I'd be the first person to fight with everything I got for this breed. I'm extremely passionate about this breed.

 

I totally agree VIC i slowed down when i started seeing the New comers and some of the stuff being brought to the table by them .I just don't get why anybody would take away the private forum for the more advanced ? Somthing getting stranger by the day. Deleting post just about for every topic in the book i have seen , now make no mistake i do like what this forum brings to the table when more of us advanced are posting out in the open ,But i was getting pm's left and right from ppl i didn't even know and i had already started slowing down on my post so i don't know how they would have even seen my screen name ? Kinda gets us wondering a little folks????

 

well i made the deleting thread one because i was curious into why they were being deleted instead of locked(no illegal activities were being discussed and i don't think they violated any rules, except one that involved a cross breeding between an airedale and staffy). might just be me but those so called "complaints" were indeed suggestions. nope I don't know how difficult it is to run a forum, but i never said i did.

 

IMO the private section was good. because most of the folks that were in it did a lot of good for this fourm over the years. but it gets tiresome seeing "how should i breed my dog" or "what do you think of this cross" blablabla. sometimes it's nice to talk bulldogs with like minded folks without it turning into "chinaman VS jeep". the members & staff need to work hand & hand because there would be no fourm without members & no members without staff. the folks that have contributed over the years should have a section of there own. remember were here because of the dogs & most of the folks that were in the private groups are the folks that will keep this breed going.YIS BB

 

Good point.The members of NWJ have all contributed quite a bit to this forum first and last,more than just showing some cutesy pics of our dogs or asking silly questions.There's been some questionable (at best} newbies on here and thats why people don't post as much.Besides,this is a place to talk dogs and we talked dogs in the group.The group was still part of the forum,just everyone couldn't see it.The forum needs a good staff and it needs good members to function.There's alot of good people in the group,with quite a bit of knowledge.I think each and every one has been an asset to this site while they've been here.There's no real need for the hostility,I thought it was nice to have a place to talk in private and not be bombarded with silly replies from people that don't know one end of a dog from another.

 

I really don't get it, You all sound like you want this board opened up to call out weight's, talk about your dog just made a CH this weekend and so forth... I and anyone else would be stupid to do such a thing... you all really need to think about what you want here!!!

Even though I agree with that to an extent, these same, so-called, "members" have not been helpful but discouraging and disparaging instead. You are always more than welcome to have your opinion, but to tell the truth, you are only on this site right now because of the new management. Before, you were permanently banned without a chance of returning. Even though you are welcome to your opinion, you should most definitely be grateful of that if you wish to continue being an active member.

I agree with that perception. However, that is not the case, nor was it ever the case. This site is to talk about dogs. Instead, the people in your so-called "group" AKA clique is not on the site to talk about dogs. You and they are here to cause problems as you deem the site to be your own to run as you see fit. That is not and will not ever be the case. There is nothing wrong with having a private place to discuss different topics. However, the problem lies within the intention of that private domain. I will not argue with you about nor debate the subject because if you have enough intelligence to comprehend what I'm saying, there is nothing to debate.

This may be from another site, but it shows the true character of your nature. You have no clue as to what is going on. You are obviously part of the problem if you refuse to be a part of the solution. "Internet doggers" are no longer welcome here, at all.

 

I still post here when I think I can contribute something.No one ever agrees with everything and I think the hostility isn't a good thing for anybody really but I'm not trying to debate,I don't make the rules here.I'm not going to lie,I enjoyed the group because of the lack odd questions and it had some good people there,that could provide some good input to a game dog forum..Personally,I'd like to see all the forums do good,there's room for everybody on the internet.

 

And there is no problem with that just as there is no problem with private groups who really have that in mind. The problem is the use of that group. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

shon someone invited me back here, & if they were nice enough to do so i wasn't going to be rude to them about it. i didn't ask to come back here. i haven't said anything bad about the staff or the fourm so save the threat's. "cause problems" starting a thread about how i felt about a private section is caus problems ? it's your fourm so do what you want , im on like 4 different fourms & it's all the same to me.
