So I had a house part at my house. A lot of people I didn't know showed up. There was a young girl there who was pretty drunk in my backyard. She saw both my dogs tied up on chain spots. They both had water accessible and a dog house. She almost started crying and was begging me to release my dogs cause it's inhumane to have them on chains. She said she was a supporter of PETA. I told her their always left loose but I tied them up because I was having guest over cause I was afraid she'd report me or something. Just wanted to share this story in case anybody on here has a party with guests over. Theirs wanna-be PETA nuts everywhere.

LOL I hate when people think they have the right to impose their views and crazy beliefs on everyone else. Did you toss her ass out? Just kidding... That had to be an unsettling situation...

  3. Man shit like that is why I don't ever like people coming to my house! My house is my domain and fuck the rest of the world when it comes to my domain!!

I here that Boogie.. Life and People will make you become Anti-Social I don't think I would care if everyone around me disappeared as long as I had my kids and my dogs I would be just fine LOL ..... I am ready to move into the country far away from everything and everyone LOL

Yeah I agree Boogie, but I'm a single man and sometimes strange people come over LOL. Here in California people are liberal nuts and I'm not sure but I think there might be a tethering ban in my area, I have to look into that.

Yeah you should check into that because I think they are rapidly changing tethering laws or limiting the time the dogs can be tethered and in some states or area's they can't be tethered at all. It's always a good idea to know these things to protect yourself and your property.

I always wondered how they enforce those rules. First off they can't come into your house without a warrant, and I doubt the city government would pay animal control to be outside your house counting the hours your dog is tethered. The only thing I can think of is a neighbor reporting you, saying he can see your dogs from your house being tied up for countless hours.

Just looked it up and there's a 3 hour limit on dog tethering in my county but it might not apply to my city, I'll have to call my city tomorrow. I don't understand how they can be kenneled all day where they have less room but not be tethered, completely illogical.

  9. I don't let know one in my house let alone my backyard unless they are REAL good friend's period. LOL I won't even let my son's friend's over here ...bunch of punk's lmao they have to sit on the curb across the street.

I agree anti tethering laws are illogical, just downright stupid actually. But I've found it's best if you don't know the person and completely trust them not to let them around your house or dogs. The world is full of people who would love to cause someone trouble.

Lmao @ some of the responses!! I agree I don't like people over or in my yard. Outside of work I try to be as anti-social as can be for reasons just like this. Thanks for a heads up but have already adapted to not letting people around my dogs or yard

I solve that by only inviting people I know to my house.

idk if i want dogs to dictate who I bring to my house. If I am within the legal limitations I wouldn't have even given that chick a second thought and went on partying. She can do all the reporting she wants.

    Especially if you have pups.

And it's pointless to try to explain it to people. They refuse to understand. They don't understand that if I let them run loose they can destroy things, escape, fight, etc. as simple ad it sounds, they still think its wrong to tether.

If you can't trust someone around dogs, then IMO you can't trust them around anything else.Just because you may be obeying the law doesn't mean you want the law to show up.PETA supporters are not welcome on my property, for any reason. That there would've got her removed from any party I was having and told to leave and never come back.

You're right, the last thing you need if you have pups is someone tracking all kinds of stuff into them.

Trust me that's what I wanted to do, but me being an idiot and not knowing the tethering law at the moment, I played it safe for the moment so she wouldn't rat me out in case I was breaking the law. Serves me right for not knowing the law.
