I always enjoy Slims post. I am in agreement with Bama . A hound bites hard because it wants too.

MUST have a MOUTH to BEGIN WITH (genetics and the numbers game),,,
WANT to use it is the CATALYST (desire to move forward),,,
EFFECTIVENESS is the RESULTS(some just hit any spots hard others are more precise),,,
    CONSISTENCY is the KEY(brains)...

1)Some bloodlines are better in mouth than others.
2)I dont think so. There were so many dogs with various head/neck structures.
3)Dog in training can make bigger damage than same dog in chain weight becouse he is stronger.
    4)Is important.

Unless there is some kind of genetic trait in the jaws and neck in the said line, then almost all the dogs share something similar, it's the ones that really want use what they have that show mouth... I could be way off though.

  7. from the yrs that i have bulldogs it more where they bite not so much how hard

Hammonds had all the gator dogs which are known to be very hard mouthed. Plumbers Alligator for example was a extremely hard mouthed wrecking machine at 57-58lbs.

I saw boogie boy destroy a dogs stomach in three minutes. And gro crushed a shoulder in five. His loss was the fault of his conditioner.

i believe unless you have TRULY seen one that can put em together you will have a certain opinion. as the above post ^^ states "its not so much how hard but, where" ....there is alot of truth to that. BUUUTT when you see that freak of an animal that shuts shit down in a matter of minutes it gives goosebumps! one and done type shit, ive seen it from pin-headed to big-headed. is it because they want to?..well, fck yea it is! IMHO breeding for mouth might be the hardest gene to pass along of all traits.the only category i would more so rate lines as a whole other than whose yard they came off of ect. i dont think its as easy of a gene to pass along as lets say "teeth" . if you have an animal that has brittle teeth cross into something that has indestructible teeth. i feel that the dog as an individual would pass on his hardware more than his mouth. i am sure that others feel differently. but this is my experience .

I've seen a few crocs here and there over the years. This bitch pictured is the hardest mouthed dog I've seen personally. She'd expire shit quick, the ones she didn't, well, they weren't ever right after. A real career ender.

just to clarify..he didnt pop up out of NOwhere. his momma was all that and a bag of chips and his poppa is the big slam on the side ,coming all night long but likes to blow his wad quickly to "get in where he fit in". Add some smarts with dbl ability and there you got it!! LOL i wish it was that easy...bloodlines had alot to do with him , along with his sister. more than looking out at the pasture and thinking wow they would cross well together. wish i knew all this 25yrs ago.
