Help Us Run Ads to Stop HSUS!

Stop-BSL.com has long been researching and trying to get ads run which will help inform the general public not only about BSL in general but about which groups they shouldn't give their support to, like the HSUS. We have run ads in the NW Pet Gazette and the Southern Fighter News (MMA) using your donations.

Now, however, we are focusing on raising money for a radio ad campaign. Radio campaigns reach a relatively large number of people and are pretty cheap compared to print ads. Also, the station will produce the ads for free, helping keep costs down.

The HSUS has long been running ads using sad looking pit bulls to raise money which they in turn use to wipe out our breed little by little. It is time to use this tactic against them. They run radio ads telling about the mythical $5000.00 reward for dog fighting info making responsible owners the target of greedy neighbors. They also run news paper ads telling about their "accomplishments," like the recent ad touting their so called succcess in Arizona.

We can make a difference in this way! So many people beleive everything they hear on tv and the radio, it's time we start being what they hear. Owners, Breeders and Dogs Against Breed Discrimination has a page set up where you can donate, copy our donation meter for your website and track our progress.

Come on brothers and sisters! I am economically tight right now but my breed is in danger. "Proboards" has added its name to the haters of APBTs. We need to send a message that we too have a passion and its name is American Pit Bull Terriers.

I have set the meter to go until $1000.00 is donated. At which point I think that plus what I will add will make us more than able to run a nice radio campaign or other campaign in Tuscon.

If those people that donate have other ideas besides Radio they are welcome to their suggestions and all will be investigated and contributed to.

Any campaign would direct listeners/readers to the www.stop-bsl.com website where more information will be supplied on what we decide to say.

 

My $ will be sent in this weekend. One more thing to be added how do you no if your a dog man or dogwomen.....u do want ever you can to save your breed and not just talk about it. Even if every one sent in 2 bucks from this board it would get us to the goal.

That is very true! I always say, skip your morning coffee or your weekly movie or whatever you do that's extra and donate that money! It will make a difference!

If 100 people donated $5.00 it would be half the goal!

I didnt match my car payment and house payment are on the same check due to the holidays but I sent some money. Next check is my play check will send more then.

 

Just noticed something. When you contribute do not comment. Because it will post your name as paypal has it on file. I am trying to get it to delete that. But, paypal tells me everyone's name. I will not publish them anywhere unless you want me to. I usually ask people how they would like to be thanked: screen name, name, kennel, business, etc. I do not want your information out there though. But, when you comment it is signing your names and I wrote the support about making it not do that. but for now,

I just read the link about the $5K scam. I'm not saying it's a good thing to bribe people into digging up info on others. But wow. They don't have it in their budget to pay off on the rewards they offer? I thought the HSUS was a multi-million dollar non-profit organization? An AR group boasting the largest budget compared to any other? What the heck?

I dont get it. HSUS doesn't pay the 5k? How would anyone know. Of course they pay it. How do you think they get weak minded dog men to turn ont he fraternity? Just last week everyone was talking about some dude that got 10k per raid, now everyone says they wotn even pay 5k. That dont make sense. Which is it? We need to get our facts straite or we are going to get rolled
