    Absolutely.
An ethical breeder has to make sure that his dogs are as people-friendly as possible, especialy in todays dnage!

There are a lot of experts on this subject. Most don't know the difference between a dog that can't go and a dog who doesn't want to go.
As for him quitting, my brother was there, read the match report in Pit Dog Report. The dog collapsed! He couldn't stand. Maurice stepped out and Floyd stepped in and tried to hold him up and get him to scratch and Bullyson collapsed........ They carried him out and didn't stand on his feet ever again.

I wouldn't of culled him, but that's just me. I wouldn't of culled Zebo or Yellow John neither for that matter.

Dogs are animals and animals will bite. But for the most part these dogs are more likely to be looking for a good scratching than taking your hand off. Some are one man dogs and need to be treated accordingly. Very few are totally nuts and usually have a short lifespan. Never met one I couldn't handle but have met some I wouldn't enter there chain spot. So common sense has to be applied around any breed of dog.

I think of dogs like bullyson the same way I think of a CR500- raw fucking power and not for beginners. Bullyson was a no nonsense dog, and shouldn’t have had the opportunity to create so many “man eating” stories. I believe all dogs can serve a purpose- even the man eaters. It’s our job to choose responsibly what they’re capable of handling. I wouldn’t force a dog like bullyson to tolerate everyone. He had a job, and that’s all I would’ve expected. My daughter has been all over my dog since he was 8 weeks old. She was allowed in his crate, to take his food, pull his ears, etc. clearly, these are all things my daughter is disciplined for now, but at a young age I needed to be sure he wasn’t reactive. This is because I can’t be everywhere at all times and if I don’t catch her doing something fucking stupid immediately- hopefully his tolerance and love for her will buy me a second. At 7 months old they’re best buds, and she could kick him in the balls, and he wouldn’t react at all. He takes a tremendous amount of my time, but it’s for my family. I would compare him to an XR400r. Kind of a slug, but with a high compression piston, hot cam, and some track time you can really get a lot out of him. Very very reliable. The CR500 will toss you on your ass and maybe kill you right out of the box. Know your capabilities and needs.

i understand your rationale to the tee. i'm a honda man myself and your absolutely correct in that the cr-500r is much a beast and deff not for the beginner.
