Honest Dogmen

Looking to import a pair of pups. As such I have been qarned frequently of the numerous hustlers out there peddling second rate dogs for high prices. Interested in Bolio, Redboy, Eli ( not through Frisco though ). Any advice on who the honest people to deal with would be would be appreciated. Thanks

 

can you not find local dogs in your area? thats your best bet on getting what you want. as well as buying grown dogs that you see yourself. when you go import dogs from folks you dont know and live halfway across the world odds are your getting screwed on that deal. if you cant find any local stuiff then your better off finding a diffrent breed. becuase the boys aint letting shit go to folks they dont know.

 

Thanks for the response. Nah I've got some very good Bolio/Shorty/Redboy stuff so getting the blood locally isn't the problem. I've been lucky enough to deal with some really good dogmen but as with anything in order to progress you need to branch out. Looking at improving what I've got know what I'm saying ? As much as I believe there are people that will send the shit stock over I also think there will be some guys that will take pride in the fact that dogs they have bred will be hitting the show circuit and making waves. Some people still have pride in their good name hopefully. Best bet is probably to come over myself. Or look to the eastern block hahahaha

 

lol i see no need to branch outside my state. let alone the country. the progress is in my yard not in someone else yard. if i felt like my yard need someone else to become progress'd then i'll cull everything & start from scratch. so no i don't know what your saying.

Most of the greats have brought outside blood into their yard to try to improve.

 

What he is saying is if you buy from another country from someone you don't know, you most likely will get beat. 100% correct.

Buy pups if youre dealing with a new breeder/dogman. You can still get burned but less so than if you are seeking grown dogs.

 

P.s. if you and youre dogs are worth a shit someone should be willing to gift/farm out or trade

 

What he is saying makes sense to me. He has good dogs, but wants to make improvements. He could start with pups, which he can probably find. Or he can, if his wallet is not weak, try to find adults. He is looking for leads.

D.J , if its the same one I know, is a honest dog owner whose dogs are well looked after and has never peddled. Hasnt advertised any breedings or allowed dogs or pups from his yard to get out into irresponsible hands.

DJ are you from South Africa? Finding genuine bulldogs around here is a hassle. It's all about who you know and unfortunately I just recently moved down here.

 

Yes his South African. Who have u been in contact with regarding dogs down here? A lot of guys with good stock dont have time for the internet like I do, but then Im just a cyberdogger.
Attend some shows u may meet some guys willing to hook u up, but beware of the numerous peddlers that also attend, lol.

 

Yeah I am. And be careful as Shamps says...especially beware of the notorious Van Dyk pitbull kennels hahahahahaha they'll sell you a show dog and claim that he's a Zebo dog hahaha The dog shows are a good place to start and a lot of guys have quality dogs

 

I think you wouldnt have any problem getting a decent dog from a mainstream kennel... Im not a "fan" of his but im sure u could get a decent pup from tom garner, pit island, any of the "public" yards... One man shits is another mans sugar... Its always 50/50 with a pup whether u go around the block.or aroound the world

 

Good dogs are where you find them!! There's one 10 minutes away from me...everything that was in his was, is now out of the way except for one. That one had a smart owner, if you know what I'm saying. Sometimes they'll be right up under your nose. Don't get blinded by the website lights!!
