Hooten's Butcher Boy

I've wondered this for quite awhile,it's not really important.Just something I'd like an answer to.In the photo of Butcher Boy on online peds,has he been stuffed?Kind of like looking at a corpse in a casket,it just don't look "right" I seen on another ped,the photo was an old black and white one he was for sure alive in that picture.Anyway,I very well might be wrong,something just reminds me of a stuffed animal.Has anyone else ever wondered this?

I think the old photo was b&w and then they colored it , so that could influence the perception on the photo , and the dog could look like a stuffed animal .

 

Yeah,I've wondered for awhile if that dog had been stuffed after he died.I could kind of see that someone might take a dog of his caliber to the taxidermist instead of throwing him in a ditch somewhere.I thought his front feet looked a little funny.And the look of him overall just reminded me of several stuffed animals I've seen hanging around,but it might just be a touched up B&W picture.
