The ref was Happy not to get smacked also by Odbod or don't had a clue about the rules to begin with. That's my 1st thought when reading this story from the past.

That doesn't surprise me what your saying about finish I see exactly what you describe more than 20years ago in one of the best first cross dogs it wasn't a reid's bred dog. It was down from Hootons jailhouse bitch. He was a brilliant bull cross from the east end of London and as usual when you get a good one like him it's owned by a good dog man whose had experience with Bulldogs.

I don't blame the judge for feeling under pressure in that situation, anyone would, but Cajun Rules don't care if Mike Tyson handling a dog, the very minute he deliberately strikes out at his opponent, or his opponents dog.. The very minute he interferes in any way with his opponent (or dog's) chances of winning, he's disqualified on the spot.. IT'S THE RULES!

Just to add a quick twist to the history lesson, Violet was offered to race on 3 occasions by one of the best all round complete bitches ever to look through a collar even till this day and was dodged on all 3 occasions .

I bet your dying for me to ask what bitch PMK? haha! You said Violet was only showed twice.. I agree with blueboy that she was already a 2xw going into the controversial show? are you standing by her only being a 1xw going into that show?

.... hybrid vigor coming to the fore.....the same way as if one were to believe the pitbull itself was created by a bulldog x terrier...(highly likely).

For entertainments sake, was Solo out for a few seconds or did someone else have to handle Violet to end the debacle?

Oldguy it was a long time ago mate that is why I have asked can anyone even name her 1st opponent?.
So unless someone can shed some light on this matter she has only won 2 races including the controversial one imo.

And was forced to eat through a straw for at least 6 weeks. Breaking a jawbone is a nasty thing. It for sure help the overweighted in trimming down weight.

Hybrid vigor yes but also with hunting dogs you are looking for a killing dog. Not every puppy in a litter will grow up to be a killing dog. In a pack of wolves you get driving dogs constantly running the prey down you have holding dogs and you get killing dogs . Some dogs will never progress into good killing dogs on tough quarry no matter how much work they get. Most of the good killing dogs I've seen were always the biggest most dominant puppies nearly always male but I have seen one bitch like this she was not a big pup but she was definitely the most dominant. It matters with hunting but probably not with fighting dogs. I've found that fighting dogs and hunting dogs is totally different. I had a useless bull cross greyhound 25years ago. He was too small lacked bite his heart and soul was just not in hunting but when he got into an accidental kennel fight with a much bigger bull cross who was a superb hunting dog he was definitely the better fighter he leathered the other dog and nearly ruined him as a running dog due to him biting so hard. These dogs are so complex in what they do and how they behave I don't think we will ever truly understand them.

Recall there was a good daughter out of Jailhouse named Jail born in Quarantaine and shipped to a fancier afterwards

I've not heard of jail born but this jailhouse bitch I believe came from Bobby himself in the states the bitch came in pregnant fully loaded with pups from Maloneys Bert. One of the Male pups was useless as a combat dog but he had a really nice temperament and he was really athletic. He could jump any fence apparently. So they put him across a greyhound and the biggest boldest pup fell into the hands of a good dog man I used to know and the rest is history because this dog was nothing short of a phenomenon. He was one of the first really good pitbull greyhounds in the UK and he shut up a lot of so called experts who for some reason really wanted these bull crosses to fail. This dog was the Punch dog and he set the standard for others to follow. He looked like a stretched athletic pitbull and he was a brilliant single handed fox dog who unfortunately died too young.

Doubt he’s scared of Oddbod, ref’s a lot bigger than Oddbod and is a very experienced dog man, so should’ve (at that time) known the rules.
