your best bet is to find a vet or facility that specializes in ai. ICSB is probably your best bet. It would not be cost efficient for you to do it yourself as it is expensive to by the needed equipment. ICSB is nationwide.

Find a local vet that stores frozen semen so when you need it, you don't have to pay to have the semen shipped to your vet. ICSB is great and I've used them to export semen to other countries. However, if you are just planning on using the semen for yourself, your best bet is to find a local vet that stores semen this way when you need it you do not have to wait for it to be shipped to your vet.

    Good luck

I spoke with her before, and 250 aint bad, but don't think thats the national average. I pay a 100 a year for a rack of 8 viles. So when I fill up the rack, it will be 200 hundred a year for 16 viles.

well $250 is a bad price when the vet will do it for $90 a year . and that's per dog to store .

great info guys i was wondering on this awhile back as far as pricing goes. im glad Old Goat popped in and mentioned the significant price differences with the two. i googled a bit of on the subject of this and it says that it is stored at -196 in a nitrogen tank. i knew it was nitrogen but didnt realize the extreme temperature of which it is stored at. i guess the deep freezer inst going to cut it for me if i ever to do this lol.

"well $250 is a bad price when the vet will do it for $90 a year . and that's per dog to store" it's straws off two different dogs. 8 straws each dog im ok with what they charged.

If you store it it's probably worth something. Haven't seen a bill here yet for stuff frozen bout 3 years ago now.

if you have 2 different dogs they will charge $90 a piece to store it . i can store all i want on 1 dog for $ 90 . but i have to pay for each dog .
