I dont know how others feel about this. Staffys are for the main part, pit bulls. They are just size inhanced from out cross breeding and adding some size to the breed, and considered Staffys because the AKC wont register the name "Pit-Bull". Dont ever get it tangled or twisted. They are the same type of breed, just different Registers will give different names. If you dont agree and I am sure there are billions of people who know better than i, that a pit-bull and a staffy are not the same. IM me and tell me the difference and stuff so that i can improve my knowlege of my own breed. Thanks

 

False. Staffordshire Terriers USED to be the same breed....but generations of selective breeding in both breeds for diffrent purposes has created two distinct and seperate breeds. Now you could say Amstaffs are "pitbulls" because in the general sense of the word they are, but they are not APBT. Staffs are great dogs in their own right-and are right for some people. Lets make a comparrison here. An APBT is like a Ferrari. Theres people who didnt like the speed and responsibility of owning a Ferrari-but wanted the look. They took the motor out, put in a 4 cylinder. They overexaggerated all the features to make it "look" the part since it couldnt do the task anymore. Some might say they are the same car-I certainly wouldnt. Amstaffs and APBT's have the same foundation...its what is done with that foundation that determines the final outcome.
