Don certainly wrote a lot about purest bred Bulldog's, truth In pedigree ect. Dibo was owned and bred by Howard Heinzel. Passed down to Earl. Correct me if I'm wrong. Colby & Heinzel , were said to be Truth In there pedigrees . I wasn't around back then, yet it makes me wonder. If Don believes that Earl was honest about his breedings? Just thinking out loud
. Don is a Legend . I enjoy reading about the oldtimers .

Man alive, what I wouldn't give to hear those tapes! I'm probably as big of a fan of Don Mayfield as I ever was of anybody. I never tire of listening to his interviews, there's just something about his voice that just makes me feel at home! If you've ever listened to Levon Helm talk, it has the same rich, down home quality that makes me miss my folks, if that makes any sense. I know people have their opinions on Don, just like they do Maurice, but I'm still a Carver fan too! Lots of people will talk down on Tom Ratliff, but he was my friend, and I still love him too! I figure each and every one of us have good qualities some will like, and bad traits that others will hate. Just is what it is.
