Show or go? No bashing please, just curious. This popped up in another thread. I noticed that Ironline advertises in Dog Fancy and other such magazines, among these Bluff breeders. I know they bred alot of good dogs in years past and I'm sure there is some good dogs from that blood. Just wondering if Ironline was producing show dogs specializing in red red nosed dogs. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for posting this.

They tout themselves as having 'one of the most recognized top producers of red nose champions in history!'. And the bloodline has produced champions such as 'Koko (cocoa), Red Iron, Red Dog, Smash, Romeo, and Jocko.

Go. he breeds quality ofrn gamedogs. One of the only sources for working ofrn blood. He has prouduced many champions and at least one R.O.M. (Iron Spike with his Red devil( Maxamillion/creed) Blood. I also credit him with preserving a great family of working hemphill dogs. Check Norrods Red Danger, Hemphill Babe, Hemphill Sambo, and most recently Ch. Barry

My best advice is to tell you to contact Iron Mike himself. You can pm him on this board, although I'm not sure how often he checks in here. However, he does have his own message board in which you can question people who have owned & currently own dogs from him.

As for me, I have nothing but good things to say about him & his dogs. I have strong Norrod blood running through my dogs & it has worked wonderfully for me & my family.

I was wondering mostly about the ofrn dogs, as I've heard recently that they aren't all what they used to be (the line in generaly, not Ironlines actual line). They are the only kennel I've been able to find close to me. Hopefully he's still producing good dogs when I'm ready to get another one.

Thanks for the responses. Just thought it odd that with good gamedogs he would advertise in Dog Fancy, but hey to each his own.

I can only assume then that he's running different lines for different purposes?

I doubt he would be getting good dogs as often as he does by breeding for paper:confused:in that case all line and family bred dogs are bred for paper but I doubt that is true.

From what I understand they no longer offer any of their Hemphill stock to the public. Perhaps whatever other blood they run they still sell, hence the advertisement.....

Where would you me like to advertise?
In Sporting Dog Journal again after doing so for 15 to 20 years and then getting ban from ever public magazine for the last 5 years for doing so, after they were informed of my adds in SDJ by the Federal Bureau of Agriculture?

If you had a true need to know if they are show or go,
you would all ready know and wouldn't have to ask.

I was interested because you've been the only person close to me (other than byb) that I've seen breed APBT.

Okay, since the question was asked,
Yankee Boy's Ch. Gambler, Triple J's Ch. Dutchess, I ended up owning and also making them conformation champions. Ch. Dutchess was the only female ever to be All Around Champion.
Ch. Red Dog was owned by K.G. & Co.
Ch. Hagler was owned by Delmar of Soggy Bottom Boys Kennel, this kennels has often change names a couple of times over the years.
These bloodlines are what I breed for the kennels.

All three of the males, their dam was from females of my bloodline.
Both the sire and the dam of Ch. Dutchess was from my bloodline.

I also considered Woodtic's Ch. Jocko but I don't know enough about Babsia to know if he would pass it to one of my females during breeding so I passed on him. Also his dam had some of my bloodline in him.

I also wanted to breed to Gr.Ch. Romeo when Mence Kennel had him and the deal was set but the dog was sent to a new home in TX. and right now it has been to far to go lately.
Gr. Ch. Romeo's sire has some of my bloodline in him as well as Combs' blood on the bottom from his Red Devil/Corvino, as the same blood as in Nitro and Ch. Lively.

On my billboard I stated under the "Future Breeding" forum the bloodlines I no longer breed to sell to the public.
In 15 years I have only sold 2 pups and 1 year and half old male stud prospect from the Hemphill bloodline.

No, I do not sell dogs in Michigan and haven't done so for close to 25 years.
