Anyone here have Jagdterriers? I have 2 dogs from Germany that are dynomite.I bred them last year and kept the runt, she's tiny. For those that dont know about the breed they are small, very game little hunters.Guy's use them for pigs, bear, lion, badger, fox, coon, woodchucks, birds and just about anything. Here we hunt them mostly on chucks, coon and starting this fall squirrels and rabbits. They remind me alot of the bulldogs I used to own.

I own four. 2 jagd/jack and 2 jagd/patt. crosses. All four are incredible working dogs. I would really like to have a pure bred but I'm happy with what I've got.

What do you hunt with them? My male Jagd caught my female Jack russell last year so I had to find hunting homes for them.

Dont know how to post pics on this site. This site is the most difficult site I belong to. Here are some of my dogs at work, or at least after the fact. I hope the way I have posted these doesn't offend anyone, if so I apologize now and will gladly remove the links.

Well, I obviously can't even modify my own post on this forum. If you want to see pics of my dogs and hunting adventures, add me as a friend on Facebook and look at the pictures there. Now I remember why I hate coming to this site. Here is the Facebook link.

What are the chances of putting up a couple pics of your jagds working in the earth on groundhogs? Is it "in the ground" work you are talking about when you say you hunt them on chucks?

Yes I work them in-ground,but I have to help them by opening up the hole a might. There small enough to fit into the type holes they come across in Eroupe, mostly bagger setts, but over here its tough to get into woodchuck holes. There's not many types of terrier over here that will fit and also hunt anything in ground. If very lucky you can still find Jack Russels that will both fit AND work in woodchuck holes.I had one and she would push the chucks around until they went past a place were the Jagds could grab them.I do have a runt thats just a year old and she will be able to fit down about any hole and I'm getting ready to bust her out this fall.I do have pics of my dogs working chucks but have no idea how to upload them on here,if you really want to see them PM me your e-mail and I can send you some.

I don't know how to post pics either, so emailing them to me wouldn't do any good. But blackpoison certainly knows how to post pics. Maybe you two guys can get together and post those pics for everyone to see.
