Well I just got a great deal , I got my whole yard sprayed by a professional for 50 bucks and yea he cut me some slack.I didn't ask him to and didn't know he was going to ,but when he said 50 bucks my jaw hit the ground. He sprayed the whole yard even about 20 ft in the woods.Cool guy , friends since childhood.Stuff he sprayed kills fleas and he said spiders , ticks and everything else that crawls.

that stuff is supposed to be a great natural wormer but I read where you need to use it everyday. you can find it
in nursery/plant stores. I got some for fire ants. cant really say it helped with ants. 25lb bag is not too bad.

That time again .I had 4 dogs on same sidenof my yard that was scratchin.I'm like fleas ? Its to dam early for this shit ! They were scratchin pretty good to so after some inspection sure enough it was fleas.I called the 2 local vets just to see what they had to offer , I wanted to nip this in the bud quickly. One of the vets had a product called Activyl and its 17 bucks per dog.Squirt it between the shoulder blades.Cost me over 70 bucks to treat 4 dogs.I can say that shit works ! First 2 or 3 days I didn't notice much change , dogs still scratching but I realized its not a repellant.Tomorrow will make one week and no more scratching and killed a bunch of fleas. It killed enough that they didn't spread to the other part of my yard so far.Its not a repellant ! But it dam sure kills fleas.Impressed so far.And its only a one month treatment at 17 bucks per dog.It works !

For those who have small yards use comforts,it works within 30 mins all flees dead and stops the reproduction process.about 18 bucks for the pill, depending on wht size, for four dogs I get the 60-2oo pd pill and quarter it up,since I'm pushing 42 pds on the hounds a peice, works for me.

No issues thus far. A few weeks ago we had a stretch where it was 70, near 80's. The fleas and bugs were coming out. We then dropped off to well below freezing with snow and ice for three or four days. Hoping that knocks the first wave in the head.

I live in rural NC in amongst a lot of pine trees. The hot weather coupled with a good rain and it is nature's incubator. We fight fleas every year in sections on the yard. These two over here may have them and none of the others do. Next time it will be dogs way across the property.

Nothnig ever works totally. Over the years the weekly spray with permethrin is the most effective. I have a small hand pump sprayer, maybe a gallon. They get a once over every week or so and that keeps them at bay.

They still break out in pockets on occasion but it is always isolated.

And mixing the permethrin with mineral oil works much better but I handle my dogs so much it gets all over me. So I do just a diluted mix with water. I guess another benefit of the mineral oil and permethrin is that I stay flea free all year. Almost like the bonus plan.

Yep Slim they do break out in pockets .So far they haven't made it to the other part of my yard .I'm hoping I nipped it in the bud.I kinda went heavy duty 70 bucks for 4 dogs.I got a litter of Jack Russells coming soon and don't want them to make to that part of the yard.

Ive been blessed over the years. Never really had a problem with fleas. I guess it's because I use a combination concoction of poison several times a year, treat dogs once a month in the 5 or 6 months where flea's are a problem here. This is what I do:

Home defense Outdoor. Can find it at any home Depot or Lowes or whatever hardware retailer you have in your area. I use this 3x a year. Spread the perimeter where you keep your dogs. Also spray the perimeter of the dog house, end of chain circle, or square if you use kennels.

Seven dust. Any garden retail store will have this. I use about a cup per dog house, mix it in their bedding. I do this monthly when I change their bedding.

Bronco spray. Can get it at any Tractor supply store or where anywhere they sell horse/cattle supplies. Essentially, it's permethin with citronella. I spray every dog down once a week and when the Flys are real bad here, I do it every 3 days.

Seems like a lot but it really isn't since everything is done at different times. I've done this for about 18 years. I have never had problems with fleas or ticks (I never even seen them) and in my particular area I live, its one of the worst places in the country in terms of the possibility of contracting Lyme disease because of the amount of ticks here, particularly deer ticks. You and fido have a high chance of contracting Lyme from ticks here. I got it 3 years ago while hunting however I have never had a dog test positive for it nor have I ever pulled a tick off one of my dogs unless we were walking somewhere other than my yard. I never see fleas either. Unless on other people's yard.

AGK when I lived up North I don't think I ever saw a flee, plenty of ticks.Down here flees are terrible man.I even have my yard professionally sprayed by a friend who does it for a living.Plus I spray 3 times .Last year alone I had my yard professionally sprayed twice .It still didn't get rid of all them .Like I said I spray the yard also.I am gone try a different aproach and use more product such as Activyl and spray the yard.Flees are tough doen here bout like ticks where u live.

My biggest issues here are spiders and biting Flys. The spiders bother me more than they do the dogs but the Flys eat up their ears every year.

That sucks bama. Fleas can be a real pain in the ass to deal with I'm told by those who deal with them. We got like like 2 seasons here. Winter and soggy wet. Lol. Today, it's a bit of both.

When you live in a neighborhood itss different.More than likely your neighbors use some type of home defender on thier lawns.Living in the woods you have no neighbors and property are surrounded by woods.
