Male urinating like a female

My 10month male still pisses like a girl.. in the past, my previous male dogs would do that only until 6months at most. Anyone else dog's does this? Do you guys think he will be like that forever? Occassionally (once every month or so) he will piss like a male

 

Yup. Mine is 10 months old and still pees like a girl.

I doubt he'll do it forever... he'll probably start peeing like a boy when he matures more. Late bloomers... LoL

 

Lol What's the big deal about him pissing like a girl?

 

give him some time he will start lifiting his leg soon enough then you will start complaining about that,soon we will hear help my male is lifting his leg on all my stuff what can i do.but the simple anwser is give him time and he will pee like a male soon enough.the way i look at it is at least he is peeing and thats what matters, not how he does it.

 

well its not a problem of course, but i was just curious

 

The only problem I have with it is when he pees and decides to walk at the same time... Then comes to jump on me while having "splashed" himself. LoL

 

hahahahahah my dog does that too and that is a problem. even if i stop to wait for him, he still walks while pissin

 

He's either not mature enough to care about marking or just doesn't want to. He is simply releaving himself as lifting the leg is a canine form of communication. I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I have three males and they all pee like pups within their chain spacebut lift when they're notand they are all over 18months

 

I've heard (I don't really know) that if you neuter your dog b4 he lifts his legs to pee, he won't ever do it. I had one dog from the shelter who was neutered at 8 weeks and he has never lifted his leg to pee.

 

I neutured my dog at about 6 months.. so if that is true, i guess my dog will be pissing like a girl forever. im ok with that as long as he doesnt continue trying to walk while pissin

 

actually i dont know if the whole neuter thing is true but i have seen alot of dogs who when neutered before they lift their leg to pee,never lift their leg to pee.

 

I don't know if the neuter thing is true, I've just heard a lot of people say it. My neutered dog actually did lift his leg a couple times, I was so proud of him. I don't think dogs neutered early (before maturing) really have the need to mark territory, I could be wrong, though.

 

Chopper was neutered at 6 months old. He squated as well but he started lifting his leg to pee at about 1 1/2 years old, now he marks his territory every where he goes!

 

One of my males is almost 2 (also unaltered) He squats to potty like a female and ends up peeing on his front legs...He notices it but won't stop peeing!! Very bad!! He likes to jump on you and give kisses. Unfortunatley with wet paws.

 

my male is 15 month and pee's both way.

 

My 4 1/2 yr. old Great Dane/Grey Hound mix has never lifted his leg to pee. It's actually pretty funny to see him try too squat like a female since he is very tall with skinny Grey Hound looking legs, lol.

Then on the other hand, I have seen a couple of our female's pee both ways. So I have no clue as to why some do and some don't.

 

my male gets in the house and pee`s on the wall ..when i yell at him he leaves a trail a mile long..pisses me off.

 

i Just asked my vet yesterday about this she said it could take up to a year and a half

 

....geeeeeeze, and my girl lifts her leg, ....
