Man's 102-year sentence on dog fighting charges upheld

Dothan,AL -- Wednesday, Jan 16, 2008 - 08:02 PM A Cottonwood man convicted of dog fighting related charges will serve out his 102 year sentence after a Houston County Circuit Court judge denied his request for a sentence reduction Wednesday.

Judge Ed Jackson denied a request made last week by Thomas Smith, the defense lawyer for Johnny Ray Lewis, to reduce his client’s sentence.

A jury convicted 43-year-old Johnny Ray Lewis in September 2007, to 17 felony counts of possessing dogs with the intent to train them for fighting. In November Jackson sentenced
Lewis to serve 102 years in prison at six years for each of the felony convictions.

Thirty-nine pit bull dogs were euthenized as a result of investigations into activity at Lewis’ home. He was arrested in August 2005 after police seized 17 of his pit bull dogs along with more than a dozen syringes, bottles of medication, thick heavy chains and a dog fighting video

Yeah, MV really has it bad. What in the F*CK is wrong with that judge?!?!?!?!? THEY'RE F*CKING DOGS FOR GOD'S SAKE! Rediculous man. Someone needs to put together a petition for this man. That is just horrible and an absolute outrage.

your constitution was made to protect the american people from that...but "elite" made ways to break u.s. constitution...like creating a global police (u.n.), im european but it seems to me that almost half of the states already "belong" to u.n. (thank you b.clinton)
some guys made a global police so "everyone" should respect it including u.s. citizen's.

im aware of lot's of stuff but democracy is vanishing way too fast....

what's fucked up here is ppl are more concerned about animals than ppl.

when i was 8 and some fuck-stick molested my sister, who was then 10, the guy only got an 18 month sentence, and was out after 12 months.

and my old man got a year in county lock-up for "assaulting him with a deadly weapon" (a nice little baseball bat he got from a Cincy Reds game) after he got out of jail. i mean, he only broke his jaw and right cheekbone, resulting in that waste of space having his jaw wired shut for 16 weeks.

and this guy still lives across the street from the grade-school where we attended as children.

Man I thought I had it bad on the intent of fighting ,that means he never even fought intent is the hardest to prove wrecklesennes like Vick is easy yet vick geta couple of years and this guy who is a nobody get the shaft what about child molesters ,mureders rapist,I think the judge had to of been biught by HSUS whio has ties of curroption to law enforcement in Pima County Sheriffs and 2 judges one in Kentucky and the other in Arkansas,but come on folks the dogs must of been in goodshape because his charge was breeding with the intent ,not actaully doing it and there were no animal cruelity charges it makes me wonder bout my and my co-defendents mock trail now espicially my wife who only sin was making sure the dogs had pleanty of food and immunizations as she was the only one working this is a JOKE now animals are above human life and right s is there a constitution now just for animals and screw mankind God put us as stewarts of the planet and in charge of all the animals so where in the world doe the animals take priority over human life? Man God own Sodom and Gamora an appology we should have been burned to the ground a decade ago abortions ,are legal ,the murder og unborn biengs but don't even hurt the animal just supoosedly have intent and you are screwed!:confused:

cos im going to get this nice pup right, and i dont wanna indolge in illegla actvity, cos i have a career ahead of me and dont wanna mess it up, so i wanna use the pup after he grows for hunting, and last night while i thought how about if we went hunting and dog got a fox for example and got scratched, and came back hom.. or sa i took 3 of them apbt.. and same scenario ...

Hey there Masta I hate to bust your bubble but the HSUS now has in legislation to make all forms of hunting dogs illegal ,that means bird hunting ,raccon ,possum,badger espicially hog hunting aftter Hog Dog Lady whipped the HSUS we might as well all tke up needle point and learn to eat soy products
