    Only one of those guys has the remote chance of going to prison,If you look at the history and outcome of these trials in the us,the other three are not even in the running,but for the sake of peace,and appeasement, they will probably send the murderer to jail.Just think of the ramifications.if they don,t.

    I think the one cop is going down for a long time. I think the other ones will go to jail, just not as long. They are considered accomplices to murder.

    I am pretty certain though,if it was not for the public outcry in all forms,including rioting,the perpetrator,ie the murderer,would just get off free.The peaceful protests of Martin luther king RIP,achieved little progress in the us, as did the civil rights marches in Derry,ireland . It will always be groups like the provisional ira,that win the peace.The momentum must not be wasted,or this episode will just repeat itself yet again.History especially black history it seems repeats itself time after time.

    No army was ever able of winning a big battle unless,it was capable of winning a small battle.If you guys dont seize the day,and keep the momentum going,fuck all is going to change.you guys out there on the streets you are not terrorists,you are FREEDOM FIGHTERS! 30 years ago Thatcher labelled Mandela a terrorist,and the ANC,an illegal terrorist organisation.Now he is a global icon lauded and courted,by the same political leaders,of the same political parties,and all their right wing cronies all over the world.The american people out on the streets are truly inspirational,and to the relatives and freinds of those on this site,i hope you are truly proud of their endeavours,to get this done.Apathy will change NOTHING,and it never has!

    I think the guy with the knee gets charged without the stealing and burning. The others, I think their charges were reactions to the riots.

    I think the best chance that guy #1 goes to jail is the simple 'fear' of him not going to jail.

    If the jury does not convict him I am thinking the violence from these riots will be small in comparison. Mostly because the police/National Guard will be in place and the protesters will turn to rioters and the violence against one another will be un-real.

    They should drag the knee on neck copper out and lynch him from the nearest lamp post to where George Floyd got murdered, he deserves that, and his bully bastard cronies need to see it happen.. Call it a zero tolerance gesture from government to demonstrate people had enough of Police and their 'overkill arrest tactics'.. Call it recognition some coppers have gone mad & bad and couldn't be trusted with a dog, let alone a prisoner..

    The police are the problem! The power the uniform gives them is the problem! Their absolute belief they can kill people and never get prosecuted is the problem! Soze is right.. We live in a different country from America and the coppers just kill any fucker here, regardless of colour! Latest UK figures is 163 people killed in police custody in past 10 years.. 10 Black, 13 Asian and 140 White, so not a race problem, but a Police problem.

    Read today 57 Buffalo Police Officers resigned over the suspending of 2 Officers who pushed and injured a 75 year old (white) man earlier this week.. That's the fucking problem! When coppers telling us either they're allowed to kill us or they don't want the job!

    They did not actually resign from being the police department. They are still with the police department. They resigned from the special tactics/emergency response/riot police (what ever the name) but still the police.

    I have never had that much interaction with the police. I have not really done anything for them to come looking for me and I have been fortunate enough not to be the victim of crime so I have not really needed them.

    Maybe I am somewhat naive and sheltered but I do not think all the police are bad. I get the 'one bad apple' approach but I have trouble thinking they are all bad.

    When I was stationed in San Diego going to Tijuana, Mexico was the thing to do. We were warned about the Mexican police. As we walked back to catch the trolley a friend of mine spit on the sidewalk. It cost me the last $30 or so I had and a gold necklace I was wearing. He lost whatever he had money wise, a necklace and a nice pullover sweater the cop seemed to like. Even back then after being pissed I was robbed by the police I did not think all police, or specifically all Mexican police were criminals.

    I guess I find trouble buying into absolutes and guarantees.

    I think that's fair slim and don't think your being naïve at all.. Sometimes I go a bit over the top, always try to be rational, objective and fair, that don't always mean I succeed.. All the best man!
