My Patterdale Ace (Widomskis Ace of Spades)

I don't say what he has done. I did it sometimes about my dogs, but most people call me a liar. :-)

He is too big for a fox set. I am using him on badger, but mainly on wild boar.
He is very strong, will to please and dogfriendly, so he is my top stud. His blood runs in all of my dogs, who are younger than 4 years.

 

do you hope for him to travel the badger setts.
will he not be a little on the large side.
will he just be used to push the boar from cover,
or used as a catch dog.

I used him as a catch dog. He is able to kill a badger below in the set, if the badger weight is under 12 Kg.
The limit of the set diamater is about 10 inches. I tried him on a man made fox burrow plastic pipe, what has a 10 inches diameter. He was able to go forward, but very, very slowly. Better is a bigger diameter.

 

One dactiyl of his right paw was bitten off when he was young. It makes some problems if I work him too hard.
