My Three year old Patterdale Terrier.

My three year old Patterdale Terrier bitch,look back and there's pictures of her at 18 months.

 

thats one cool looking patterdale. i like the 2nd one the most. looks like a damn ware-wolf

 

I agree with swiftersweeper, I like these dogs more evrytime I see them, I had two hanging off my staff in the woods a fews months back. He just looked at me as if to say come get these critters offf me. LOL, the same staff won't let a large dog anywhere near him. Go figure...

there two game for there own good most times they would face any thing but always end up worse off

 

@The Red Baron, Yes mate,but as you know its illegal in the UK.On a walk as an a month old pup she coursed and brought down an adult Muntjaj,at a year met Brock on the top,the second photo she'd just resurfaced,but after two quick bolts this season had to be laid up due to the death of her partner!

Hello BP,i'd be a liar if i told you this or that line,fact is i dont know yet,i bought her blind of the internet,the breeder wasn't that interested but i liked her,Dam came from a hunt in Devon and the sire came from 'The Bicester Hunt'. I contacted them and the terrier man that had bred her had left a few years back,ive got his name and am in the process of tracking him down.Game as Homer,extreme prey-drive,funny little thing-if the corns up in the field she'll walk on her hind legs like a circus poodle to see over it and if theres any movement,i'll post pictures of her parents if you want?

Nice dog. I love the hard coated dogs, hoping to get a rough coated bitch this winter. I hope anyways just not as many seen as the smooth coats in the states.

Thanks people, Piccaso is that what you call rough coated dogs,hard coated?you have a lot of the smooth coated Robert Booth dogs eh? @woody,id also love to see your dog,i do like those Irish Staffs,darlo on here had a great one.

As of now, I just have a pitter patter cross. I am working on another patterdale for the yard due to my daughter hounding the piss out of me. From my understanding there was not any smooth coated dogs in the patterdales till they hit the states. The patterdale and the history of the American dogs is foggy IMO from veterans of the breed to the newbies. I just enjoy them, I am not into papers and pedigree. Most of my patterdale blood came from Hammonds which usually comes from booth, nuttall and gould. Gould's Spartcus seems to pop up in a lot of good patterdales blood from what I seen. Patterdales are hard IMO to define because my daughter (another daughter of mine has one two) has a dog that is papered up but the dogs in her pedigree have famous names on them from patterdales but then have english pit dogs (bulldogs) in their pedigree. Patterdales is a weird breed but I love them.

Great looking litter you have there Woody,We don't see any White Patterdales in the UK,the're real healthy and strong looking,all the best with them.I didn't realise u'd had so many dogs Culabula,u definatly know your stuff,those Booth dog's are Full-ahead dogs,keen hard workers.I like how picasso puts the history of the 'Patterdale' in America,imo,people who were keen on working vermin just came from the States to all over the UK and bought good working stock from various people who worked thier dogs so couldn't realy go to far wrong,i could be wrong but those three names you've mentioned there are all renowned for working and breeding top dogs.Ive spoken to Rob Booth and in his book 'Out Dogging' he say's everyone put Bull-terrier in there dogs and if they say different the're liars?They used Game-Bred Staffs but i can't put a name to any of these,i'd be very interested to hear the names in your daughter's pedigree,more so because i like the history and how a good dog is put-together.Your right when you say the're a weird breed,as Game as they are wimps!lol.Wouldn't be without one now!
