New Pup on the block. This girl says hi from NY!

Hi everyone, I've been perusing these boards since I first found them almost a decade ago now. Hard to believe it's been so long! I decided to finally make an account and not just lurk. Certainly can learn a little more this way and engage with you all. You can call me BloodHound or just Hound.

I'm a female in my 20s, lived in NY my whole life. In my teens I got into game dogs and bulldogs after receiving a former match dog from a friend and I've been obsessed ever since. It's what led me to seeking out this site and others in the lifestyle. He was an amazing dog and one of the most intelligent creatures I've ever worked with. Unfortunately had to move him when I moved house but I will never forget him or the impact he had on me. I did a 'keep' like training on him just for the fun and bonding it provided to both of us.

I'm also a dedicated equestrian and spend lots of time around horses and hanging out at the barn. It's like a second home at this point. I have just as many 'homey' interests as active however; I Love reading a good book, I love to play video games and my favorite time killer is to play Magic: The Gathering with friends.

My goal is to meet new friends and learn new things and possibly even find a mentor in the future. I'm all about dogs and would do anything for them. I believe in keeping the breed as it was meant to be, gameness and all.

I want to know who the dumb ass was that gave a teenage girl a "match dog" lol.

 

I adopted it from getting put down when a ring was raided
they didn't care where the dogs go tbh as long as they were far away so being stupid and young i took on more than I could handle
But that was nearly 15 years ago now and I'm not the same person

I used to train dogs for a living before a fire ruined everything and I'm kinda back at square one right now
don't buy it if you don't lol but I don't know who this "zebo" person is? From what I gather from lurking it's a guy who's way too into the Zebo blood who just trolls everyone on a regular basis?

Not me, lol. And if you want a proof pic I'll prove it.

Also; teenage boys get match dogs too, is that okay? I was inexperienced was the biggest issue. It doesn't matter if I'm a man or a woman.

 

A real Bulldog has no Business being with a novice owner....

Can't let the opinions of others get to you. Everyone's a skeptic online. Even more so with dog folk. Take it with a grain of salt and don't let others influence your emotions, especially total strangers to you.

I try to keep in mind:

If they ain't financing you, feeding you or fucking you then fuck their opinion....

Having said that, your on an online forum so anything you post will be subject to criticism. Nature of the beast.
