New Ukc Weightpull Record

This past weekend, my mom's Great Dane broke the UKC weightpull record (rails)
He pulled 9,950 pound for 71% (he weighs 140) He then tried to pull 10,640 pounds and pulled it roughly 15' 5" (16' is a full pull) SO close!!!

My little doggies pulled too, setting personal bests.

Bell (black dog) pulled 5,200 pounds and took 1st place both days in her weight class. It was roughly 110 x her bodyweight.

Change (white dog) pulled 5,900 pounds and took 1st place both days. He also won the MWP (most weight pulled) for the 60 pound and under dogs. His best % was 108. Below are some pictures.

That's awesome Moot... i think I saw your dog pulling in TN months back.... All your dogs are very impressive.... Those are all by buddies dealing with the cart on your dogs pull... We have been missing a few..lol... Congrats to all the dogs who pulled....and extra love & congrats to all who placed...

There was a malamute that also pulled the same wt so there are two record holders for the accomplishment. My buddy's pitbull came close to beating it the next day till the rail system got f'ed up. We are fixing the track so he can beat it next time.....Congadulations on your wins.

 

Yeah, there are 2 record holders...But a great dane, breaking the record, who would ever thought that would happen??? I could care less if he my mom's GD was tied w/ 10 people, a great dane doing weightpull!!!!! As of now, he's in the books as the record holder (along w/ the malmute)

How was the track 'f'ed' up? Other than the carpet being junk, not sure what else can be done or fixed to make it that much better.

Either way, Scott has a great track and it was well worth the trip.

they worked, and that dane pullin looks awesome! not that they all didnt rock, but the big guy really is a HOSS! like i said, ive never saw a Dane pull, and that much weight is freakin unreal!
