Why do you keep getting BYB dogs? Why not get a well bred APBT and call it a day?

Don’t seem to be any local people I know who breed a true APBT I can’t start driving 300 hundred miles so this is what I have, all I want to do is keep them a true dogs life span and enjoy.
I believe a rural country BYB bred is still a little more then assumed but sure I would have loved the real deal , even though I have found these kind more then enough for me.

Oh, I got you... well one of the best dogs I've had was deep in the country... no papers or anything BUT he was all APBT and that's a fact.

City dogs Country dogs I came from the city so to speak - and now I live rural - I mean city people who have dogs of most breeds , well there just in the house or walked or dog parks. I am sure with exceptions, Country dogs are Dogs!! usually have a chance to hunt and do what dogs love to do even if they don’t get a chance they smell the air and land of what is more natural to a dog.
I’ve seen some hounds up here that make you wonder .
I think they might be able to hold there own

That's cause we understand what a dog is and what it ain't and don't try to turn it into something it ain't.

Supporting BYBs is NOT something you should be so active in. Save your money and go online and order a REAL bulldog. Not some BYB mutt, that is. If you can handle it. Better yet, get a poodle.

  10. AP has a point here, distance should not be an issue if you are willing to be dedicated and responsible about getting a dog from a good breeder. Supporting BYBS because there is not a good breeder in driving distance is kind of a poor excuse, I think I'd rather not have a dog than support some random fool breeding pits and mastiffs to make $$$

I have a Poodle really do only 12 pounds, when you raise a PB puppy with a poodle the PB’s love there Pet Poodle
New ford Mustang V8 0 to 60 4.3 sec top end 156 mph / new ford V6 mustang 0 to 60 5.4 sec top end 113 mph (governed) The dogs I’ve got are at least V6’s <O:p</O:p
I never floor my dogs to see what they got. Some times an accident can happen like when I was a kid my father hat a 1964 Pontiac Catalina the motor mounts broke and the engine twisted in such a way it floored full power 389 CID worth <O:p</O:p
I have had some accidents these BYB PB’s are not Poodles at all <O:p</O:p

  16. Pit#5 - I am not trying to be mean, but please listen to me carefully.

Why are you paying money to people for dogs like this? You are proving to them that they can make money off breeding mutts.

Instead, why don't you go to the shelter and adopt the exact same type of dog?

If he cannot sell all his mutts they will eventually end up in the shelter, then someone can give them a home without lining his BYB pockets with $$$.

You are supporting his crappy breeding and basically telling him you not only find it acceptable, but you find it acceptable enough to be a paying customer.

I understand that the dogs are already born, but if people keep buying his litters because "the dogs are already born" he will keep making money and keep breeding. If everyone could step back and stop being a bleeding heart for "the already born dogs" he would realize it is impossible to sell his crappy mutts and that they cost him money instead of make him money.

All you are doing by buying one of the dogs is letting him know there is a market and he should breed more litters.... :dogkiss:

Agreed, also why would you WANT to touch one of em... my thoughts is somebody might have to love em but it AIN'T going to be me... if it ain't a v8 or up I don't drive it, you feel me?

If u are saving them from a shelter then i def think you are doin a good thing
if yo arent then you are accidently causing more harm then good
there is nothing wrong with the dogs you have gotten, idc what anyone else on here says
the prob is where are the pups that dont get bought gonna go?
as long as people bye from byb's they are gonna keep breeding
u can get those same dogs from a shelter and there is nothing wrong with it
but dont give money to people who hurt the breed YOU love
but best u can do now is take care of what you have and learn from experiences just like the rest of us have and are still doing
