Hows it going ive dug through this forum far and wide and have learned a lot from a lot of smart people and im looking to connect with some smart and knowledgable dog men around the south east area of new mexico. I havnt had game dogs in at least 8 years and they were some nice chinaman dogs. Im just looking to reconnect and find out what i should start back out with thanks in advance!

    hello and welcome,,,
nm isnt what it used to be when the late great Ed Crenshaw passed the baton to the next generation,,,
from what I understand they cracked down hard and left the street thugs to continue their backyard bull,,,
nm probably has more bait stories and other bs than most,,, a true lack of learning about the breed in those parts...

A good friend moved back there and has since got out of the dogs and said its no longer a place for dogmen...

Be weary of strangers and good luck with your ventures...

Thanks for all the replies you guys and yeah im pretty much trying to keep it on the low down. I might have to do some traveling to find some good dogs but i havnt done all my homework yet so il keep my ears open and eyes peeled for something good. All the old dog men i knew are either dead and gone or not in the game anymore so il try and see what i can come up with. I have heard of legends kennels and have talked to the owner. He has some good blood but he breeds for pedigree not hunting ability. Even so he has some great frisco blood off of garner and pure lonzo but im not sure about the performance ability. They look promising though and he is a great guy whos willing to talk to you for hours about bulldogs.

    Legend kennels is from Wisconsin
Talked with a guy from there who
Knew him and dealt with him in the
Past and said he would not take a
Dog from him now said he was a good
Guy but the dogs are just paper bred
    Dogs nothing more nothing less...

Sure do! I hunted up near Loganitas, close to Thres Piedras, I would muzzle loader season, and A cow tag! Back then $45 three of us went we never saw another hunter! Probably a lot different now!
