I remember reading about somebody who was keeping untrimmed birds, I think for sale out of the country. Somebody told the animal cops he was pitting birds! They came onto his yard took every bird, never found one thing to tie him to cock fighting, charged him with all kinds of BS charges, had to post bail get A lawyer, beat the charges.........it cost him his job and lost every single bird! I was thinking of raising A few until I read that!!! I was raised up around them well I never thought I'd live long enough to see Sunset shut down. Louisiana became popular with the movie industry after several hit films in the mid 70's once those people started relocating it was the beginning of the end.

 

It's funny.. Because when I was twelve one of my little friends from the phillipines, her father had a yard full of game birds with him and back home. There, no one cares at all. Same thing in India, Pakistan, Japan, Thailand, etc.

I don't know about OZ, they have some strange rules about importing just about any animal. I know a lot of people in the Philippines and from there. They all tell me I should move there, with my pension and S.S. I could live worry free! Birds are on TV 24/7, and from what I've heard dogs are no big deal! Now our kids are grown and do'n well it does cross my mind! In fact I think we will be go'n for A visit and check it out sometime this year! One of my close friends his father is A major breeder there, and his brother is A Bishop in the Catholic church, so I wouldn't be go'n in blind! Something we've been tossing around for A couple years! Also Mexico, just things are to unstable there now, not like it was 30 or 40 yrs. ago! I just don't like looking over my shoulder, becoming an outlaw for something I was almost raised around!

 

If you're worried about that, move out to the Japanese countryside. Dog matching has literally several clubs for different breeds and the dogs look good. No one cares, heck they even had dog fighting comic books for a while. I saw a match were the dogs scratched and one jumped clean over the other dog and turned to get his hold. That was impressive. Also plenty of boar to hunt, but no one uses Bulldogs. They use Kai dogs and the like. Introduce some bulldogs and you'd make a decent name for yourself lol. Wouldn't mind moving there myself some day. Low crime rate, no tree huggers.

 

The reason I'd go to the Philippines is I have a lot of friends from there and live there. Just something we've been tossing around.

 

I know they love to gamble..Man my buddy is married to one so I know her whole family.They talked me into goin to the casino one night and I got to watch the sun come up on the ride home.They are good people though, loyal from what I have met.She told me one night when I was pickin on her she was gone put me in the lockhead lol.She meant to say headlock , funny woman..Mudapucker is her favorite word lol.

 

One thing for sure you always know were you stand with them! The more I learn of the culture the more I like! And Boy Howdey do they like to gamble never any shortage of action!!! Just dropped A good friend at the airport the other day! The Philippines can also be A ruff place go'n in blind, we have been invited to stay at several homes if nothing else it should make for A good trip! Yea , they will not quit when it comes to gambling lol.I never saw anything like it.I only like blackjack as far as cards go, so I don't play cards with them but when I did , they cleaned me out most of the time lol.She got like 3 sisters and a brother over here.I get one of her sisters to do some house work for me from time to time and she is the best I have ever hired for housework.But yep my buddy got a good woman, she keeps a spotless house and he don't miss no meals.Matter of fact he is over 300 lbs lol and use to be tall and skinny.Good people they are.
