Yea sounds about right. I remember receiving the news afterwards; in fact I had the invitational but chose to be elsewhere, not knowing at the time she was heading into The Storm. I regret til this day missing the opportunity to witness that force of nature. Everyone I know who did always used the same "k" word when describing her.
Jolene was a super talented bitch herself. She had earned alot of respect and a big following after outracing a highly regarded opponent in Wiggles, who was already a ch are 2xw at the time they met, in a all out war lasting 1:36. An action packed ladies night with KC's Pheonix (daughter of Gr Ch Vengeance) making Ch and Blakout Boyz' making Ch with Boudacious after outracing a 2xw special ordered and flew in from the V.Is.
Jolene had sustained some major facial damage so her camp decided her racing career was over. Then came the decision to sell her to Clayetteville, who also owned one of her littermate brothers named Bandit 1xw, for brood. Had seen Bandit earlier in class and even had the chance to purchase him too but gave him a pass. I later seen him become a 1xw and regretted that decision. They both were talented individuals, both 1xwers going in, and both took the L on the same card the night she met Storm; go figure.
A guy who was in attendance at both of Jolene races said he BELIEVED had she been in the shape she was in her first race that she MAY have stood a chance. Maybe it would've been a classic. No doubt that Storm was the baddest bitch that night.

Then I woke up and realized it was all a dream...

Pure evil! Shocked everyone when he lost to Kunta. Seemed impossible. Remember 3 to 1 odds being offered on that one with Kunta being the underdog.

 

I was told he ate a leash the day before the match. They didn't want to do it but ended up saying fuck it and went ahead and matched him anyways. A few people told me he didn't look right that night.

 

That was a monster looking animal!
