AC probably should just put them all to sleep. Stupid owners = dead dog. I'm not too far from South Dallas, East Dallas, or whatever part of Dallas you want to bring up as an issue. You know what. This story is half of what it should really be. Trust me, people that do these dogs live everywhere. You even have your little rich "white" neighborhoods as well... Carrollton, Plano, Allen, Frisco, Greenville, trust me this stuff goes on ALL OVER. Its just not the ghetto neighborhoods.. lol. Another problem is that, if you're gonna do the dogs...go somewhere other than in the inner city, but you have idiots(like my neighbors) who keep doing it here...There are some homes here that you would never know they even had a yard full of dogs...so it differs from area to area..You have a bunch of idiots that own this breed and yet they can't even spell the word (breed=bread) lol... Half of these people are idiots. I shake my head and just don't deal with them. There are so many people in this world who are jackin' up this breed of dog and they come from ALL RACES...may I repeat ALL RACES....White, black, hispanic, indian, mixed, rich or poor etc..it doesn't matter. The idiots that own these dogs will amaze you. The problem that I see is that most people are too lazy to pick up a book to read. People from all classes of life (rich or poor) want to be a bad ass with a pit. Its not just the thugs that want to look "cool".

Since the puppy peddlers WILL NOT STOP selling puppies, then I suggest that all puppy peddlers, (including the ones on this board) give away a damn handbook with these dogs. You know how you go to pet smart and you can pick up some print offs of an animal...thats what we need. I bet if everyone did that, then it would make a HUGE difference. And don't give out a crappy book either. Give legit information. Make people learn what these animals are all about and where they came from. To me that is one major step to helping guide these dogs into the hands of the right people and making sure these people know what to do and expect of this breed...

Another possible thought is this, extend liability for dog attacks to the person who BRED the dogs as well as the owner of the dog. Product liability is a well established legal principal, why not extend it to dogs? That would cause two changes. 1. Breeders would make damn sure to screen their buyers and 2. They would make sure that human aggressive dogs weren't going out their door.

I agree, in that the VERY sad state this breed has fallen into is prevelant every where: be it, yes, in "rich, white" neighborhoods, ...to inner city dwellings. There is NO specific criteria that needs to be met=as itappears today, to unscrupulous breeders, it all revolves around one's need to obtain currency, and the welfare and well being of the pups they've helped to produce has simply taken a back seat. And until "man" decides that the life and value of his (her) dogs is/are more important than fattening his wallet, imo, this "problem" will just continue to exist, and the demise of this breed will follow in its very own footsteps. Unfortunately, we live in a society where the dead presidents speak louder than the alive ones, and this "me" mentality and the "I don't give a "F" about the pups I just sold" attitude only adds more fuel to the fire, in terms of "pit bulls". And as we are all aware, every incident, whether fact or fiction, becomes a headline and just another reason to have every politician jump on the band wagon and propose some more BSL.

So, no, there are no boundaries, nor a particular group to place the blame upon, but rather, every unresponsible, uncaring breeder is at fault here. EVERY one. Again, when your pups' well being becomes second, the problem this breed has fallen into, becomes first.

    very sad....:( .....
