Poland's Jump

I saw Grunt. He made bad signs. He was looking for a place to hang it up. Simple as that. He was given away. And after #2 he was sold because he was a 2XW dog in the high 50's low 60's. JL liked them big. He was advertised as a GrCh. within a month or so, maybe two after the purchase.


I went to JL's house in Richmond to buy an American Bulldog. In our phone conversations we never talked pits. When I got there I remembered him as MC from back in the day. I recognized his dog Uno (VirgilXAmy Capp). We started talking bulldogs. He showed me Grunt and told me of his exploits. Since I knew MC to be a bullshitter I told him I thought the dog was about to quit in #1. That ended my trip to Richmond.


Mr. Edwards indeed had secrets. And he let a lot of people in on those secrets later in life. The only issue is different people got different versions of the same secret. So my best guess is he took a lot of those secrets with him (RIP).


As far as Stoney travelling north in secret that is simply just not accurate. He was farmed out to a guy not too far from here (in NC). Mr. Edwards watched one quit on Saturday night and a couple-three quit on Sunday morning (AB's house). He made a call and before Sunday dinner was served ol' Stoney was no more.


As far as Grunt and his production. That will never be known. JL/MC has been a peddler of peddlers for the longest. What Grunt was bred to and how it was registered will always be in question. If the Grunt peds are still up go look. One picture had Grunt in the Richmond backyard and he was solid black. A few months later he was pictured in a pedigree with a white blaze in his chest. Go figure. It was JL and that is just how he did things. Another double bred Grunt dog out of Kay Kay ( a mims bitch who died when she was five months old but her papers will live forever) looked just like Mayday spit him out. JL had the big Mayday dogs as well. So Grunt as a producer will always be suspect.
