Do you have any viable experience with these working greyhounds,or are you just reading this crap off a site? ...I do.

There is a standard with any and all working breeds.....You contadict your self.

Culling is a responsible part of breeding any type of animal.

The rescues still have NO RIGHT to these animals!!!

Athletic things die sometimes, I understand that and am completely fine with it. Athletic things shouldn't die because they were shoved into a semi with 100 other dogs, no air conditioning, and a nonstop trip across the state. Althletic things shouldn't die because they were left too long in uncirculated kennels with small portions of low quality food and not enough water. Shit happens, but it should at least be prevented against.

That is a bunch of crap people transport their own dogs. And for the most part they treat them the same way we do our compitition dogs. Your reading this crap from some place and sucking it in as truth. That is hog wash. These people have thousands of dollars into these fine dogs they are not going to intentionally let them die or suffer. Just like horse racing the health of the animal must be prime to perform. What is it you working for PETA and trying to start something? Thats what is sounds like to me. Go read your media crap and leave us alone. Get a life.

That's not your call, that is the owners call.....I am well versed with this breed, I do know that yes they can live out side of the track and function great.....My point is that NO Breed, should have to conform to the whims of those who dont approve....

Take a couple of these dogs out into the field and see what they will do to coyote ...they will do what they were bred to do course!

I am not up on the Italian Grey Hound or any other But the Hungarian Grey Hound will kill wolves as well as coyotes. The raised them to kill off predators from harming the livestock. Damn fine dogs. They don't look tough but they are. That is for sure. Maybe they would be more happy if we just all used our dogs for what they were bred for. They would be suprised in what their little fluffy fufu poodle was breed to do or the Datshound that is for sure.

So let me get this straight. You want to kill anyone who's rescued a retired racing greyhound? That seems a bit odd.

I'm very sorry that I posted before I was absolutely sure of the facts. I'll stay back a little ways and try to learn a little more so I don't post without knowing what I'm talking about. I made a total *** of myself and I'm sorry I was such an idiot.

It's okay, you obviously care about these animals. Your intentions were good and you have a good heart.

Some of you guys need to go wail on a punching bag to get some of that tension out! Yikes... put the gun away AM! LOL

Pennsooner you know better than that. I strait up said PETA and their kind. Nothing about recueing retired dogs. Which by the way is adoption. To rescue something it has to be in danger of harm and keeping it at your house becomes adoption. Not nearly the same as trying to ban the game of dog racing now is it. Don't twist my words. And you bet I would shoot any person that stepped on my land telling me what I can and cannot do. If I want to race rats by george I will do so. I have no love for PETA period. I don't like the media or some of what SPCA does. They take it over board and extreme. Do you have it strait now? I hope so. I like grey hounds too. But the art of racing them is in no way cruel and isn't the business of PETA and their supporting scum. Now you can write that down I don't like them and no I will not be friendly or treat them as human. They are my enemy and that is that. If they don't like it tough. If your one of them that is tough also. I don't think you are unless you have changed from the last time I read your post but maybe I read you wrong and your not on the page that has working animals in your best interest. I don't powder coat stuff. And I was not vague so don't make it out to be broad statements and twist what I said. I won't tollerate it.

I just got done actually from doing that. How odd you're watching me aren't you. I have to go check the woods now. Paranoid. And I was just playing with the gun it's not loaded. You're not going to make me stand in the corner again are you. At least don't beat me with that strap again. ok you can but don't tell any one that I like it. lol

I must add that I sport a Lincoln Park key chain with a pewter racing greyhound. I don't gamble though, just love the dogs and think they are beautiful.

Your joking right? Oh that is just terrible. Now I feel bad for being so harsh. Crap. And I thought I had a rat in the bag and it is a kitten hissing. Sorry as well. You should go to a dog race it is really nice. I don't gamble but the dogs are amazing. Beautiful dogs. They move so fast you can barely see them. Ok well I can barely see them. I have seen them in the field trials and hunts too. Just mind boggling how fast and how feirce they really are when protecting their own. They are not fragile like they seem in a photo. They are sturdy athletic competitors.
