It is interesting...surprising to see a dog from Serbia make it back to Texas. Would not have expected that. Having said that, I have chatted a lot with Che a lot in private and do trust his judgement.

I know you are not a fan of Face Book...and yeah there is a lot of crap there, but through networking I was able to find a lot of good dogs in this area. There have been a lot of good dogs here for a long time....what is your opinion, Ssdd of the dogs there vs the dogs here. I think I have an idea, but I would like for you to expand. The big difference is there are no titles on pretty much any dogs around here anymore, at least in Texas, everything is so underground and no one says anything. It is the opposite oversees, every dog has a title.

Dogs in TX vs where I'm at? Shit I bought one from Texas lol transported another dog for a dog from Texas, the Latina crossed the border in Texas. I love some Texas dags lol

Seriously I know what you mean. I do question competition over there. But I question it here too. I feel anywhere in the world that has dogs probably has some good ones. They have bullshit too. Same here. % wise its probably close to equal per capita as it is here.

A dog doesn't know where he is only what his job is. If he completes the job it shouldn't matter where he is.

I didn't always feel that way but my opinion has definitely shifted to feel that way.

I think that the world should show a little more gratitude for the land their dogs originated and shouldnt beat their chest about how they have the better dogs. But I understand patriotism and that's probably why I feel that way.

But I have noticed a ton of European dogs will have multiple time losers(l not gl) stacked in peds. That always makes me raise an eyebrow but so does a lot of shit here.

My argument against the ships the best thing ever to breed a bitch was always the %. Fuck yeah he's produced some winners. But wasn't he bred an insane amount of times to get those winners? If we're talking a PRODUCER(what the thread was about) it shouldnt be throwing shit on a wall and hoping some sticks and when it does cheering. There's plenty of dogs who have produced a high % of winners in very few breedings. Dogs who have been bred a lot and produced something every stick. Dogs bred a lot who are low % producers. Dogs papered off a "super producer" when it was a brother/son/completely different family of dog actually bred.

I can't tell anyone else what to believe a producer is but I personally think a dog who produces no matter what they're bred to or bred only a few times but produced in every litter and that passes the desired traits in high % is the producer.

This is my complaint with the POR dogs. I just feel there is much more validity to ROM standings than POR. So what your dog produced some one time winners? How many litters have they produced?! If you've bred this dog 100 times, you are bound to get some 1xw in there, the law of averages will come into play. But how many of those never do anything again beyond that 1x?

@GrChHaunch yes I still think that ship is a good producer. One off his offspring became last P.O.R. There will be more. I see his offsprings are producing too. And even some grandkids are producing. Like I always said and say it’s hard to discuss a dog without seeing. We like dogs from past from years ago we haven’t seen we haven’t touched. Those dogs were the topic off their time some did liked some didn’t but years are gone and time did tell us what to think about these dogs. The same will be happen with Ch Ship R.O.M too. For now he is still a live. His offsprings are doing well , they are winning and producing. One thing is for sure he could have more winners or losers but this war between Ukrain and Russia did killed many off them

not about how many total offspring a dog produces but how many of them compete and of those, their percentage of success.

I am just an amateur observer...maybe 1 step down from a bulldog historian, but I am a pretty good human historian. You have an area torn by warfare, and don't forget that not too long ago you had one of the worst civil wars in human history around those parts as well. What that means is government has more important things to do than crackdown on dog fighting. As a result, the game is wide open there.

It seems that that means you have way more champions, but also way more losers. It does not affect the percentages, and the only thing that we can judge percentages by is time. And time is the advantage that this part of the world has. Again this is just speculation by a guy who has little actual experience...but I think the logic is sound. What is going to be interesting is to see how these dogs that are brought back from overseas do against American dogs, specifically here in Texas. Of course here in Texas no one says a peep. The breeder of my pup does not even say a word to me and denies to even know the meaning of the word roll. I learned about his dogs by reading newspaper articles about many attempts by LE to bust his partner.

In fact I have probably said too much already, LOL. The bottom line is I believe that Ship is probably living up to they hype, but he is no Yellow, at least not yet.

There's plenty of ch, gr ch, 1x 2x etc in Texas. Some even with the titles displayed. It's one of those "those who know, know" situation. There's not more in Europe they're just openly displayed to the general public. Should be hard to check a score card if you're in the league.

Nothing new about European guys sending dogs to the states. If memory serves me correctly FWK sent one that earned a actual title here. The English guys sent a few who were in the sdj. I know of some Russian dogs that came over but didn't do anything. Same guy that has ship was importing dogs from Zanetti off villi and his son's even though his best was from Florida lol
