he looks like he has mastiff in him

 

yea thats a big boy. could only imagine how much of a pain in the ass it was to handle him in the corner....

 

Yeah he was pretty big (by looking @ the pixs).
For some reason all of the Ch, GCh the ones I've only seen in Pixs and read about seem's like such distant legends to me.

 

he was a catchweight dog it was said his chain weight was 75lb

boy did he have a real long body ... i bet he had real good wind

 

id be interested to know how old he was in yhe pic with his mouth open. not alot of ivory left, worn away.

Does anyone know Maydays height at the withers?

 

I don't see any mastiff resemblence, just a big bulldog. His hind would sit high as hell and his muzzle would be all smug short and thick. but if you mean by his color, the black muzzle with the buckskin coat, i see alot of english mastiffs of the same color with the deep black mask.

 

Mayday was sure a fine looking dog.I especially think the statue is pretty cool.

 

Handling a big dog is just another reason to hit the weights.
