It is not that $30 a year is a lot per se, but it is using money wisely.

One of the arguments we had with Jack on his board is that he planned or entertained the idea of increasing the yearly fee to $100 per year. That beaks down to less than $9 a month. If a person really used the PBB every day, tracked in the database and used all its features $8 and some change is not an awful lot of money.

I compared it to the gym membership because a few years ago we had a family plan at a local gym/pool. It was $53 a month. My son used the pool and the gym almost every day. I used the gym 5 or more time per week. My wife used the gym at least 3 to 4 times per week. My Mom used the pool for aquatics therapy after surgery. If we divided the membership by usage it was in the pennies per use. In time my son found driving, girls and weed so he no longer went. My work opened up a state of the art workout center that is free. My wife found that she used it more so when she was dropping off or picking up my son. I paid $53 for a couple three months with no usage. That gets 'expensive' really quick.

The PBB is the same. Long analogy I know, but sometimes it is not just the amount that is involved it is the usage per dollar that counts.

And it is so easy to slam on the PBB's previous owner. His answer to any rebuttal for a $100 a year was you were a 'broke-dick', fat and lazy, who bought cheap as dog food anyway.

Hopefully it works out for the new owner. I would think the next step in the business model would be to make it into a registry. All the information and ground work is there.

When it is all set up I will more than likely give it another run.

I have been brainstorming on ways to roll out a registry. The easiest thing for everyone and to ensure accurate records would be to limit pedigree permissions for members. That way any ped entered has to first be approved and will be entered correctly by me or my team. You just wouldn't be allowed to edit or delete info and would have to contact me if changes need to be made such as transfer of ownership, litters, titles, etc. I would just let members pay the annual $30.

Jack could have saved a lot of time and energy by this approach instead of giving members free range to enter peds like peds online.

Also I will be doing incentives like refer x number of ppl and get a year free!

Imagine if it was a $100.00 a year and getting banned within the first 3 days LMAO

For most people I feel its not about the money per say , its more about the principle of some douche bag DICK-tator cheating you out of what you paid for and did not honor it to the fullest.

I figured that quote would be of some value and maybe when I lay that extra eighth off it will really make more sense,,,lol... Its been along hard road thats got me and my hound running out of breathe and the roads definitely higher than a mile but Ill never be as high as...
HIGH HORSE JACK... pitbull bible,,, I dont think the name seems fitting at all and reminds me of the schoolteachers
narcist book with a pitbull on a cross,,, bot these men are off in thier own woods,,, the teachers actions in the box are respected but the way he thinks isnt to be,,,
Jack on the other hand is very smart and can relay that well,,, but never got his hands dirty enough to write the bible as many reffered to the journal back in the days that documented alot,,, jacks books are imformative but no better that wildsides and I love when ed and jack hashed it out over jack getting his first real bulldog from wildside,,, and jack only had a couple that were noteworthy after that...

I dont think jacks books or site is worthy of that name and hope the new owner drives the ferarri of bibles into a respected place to visit... GOOD LUCK and DONT DRIVE TOO FAST...

It's down while the entire database is uploaded onto my server. It's a time consuming process having to submit a service request with the host company and them getting their engineers on it to transfer the data. Should be up any day!

When trying to click on offspring or relatives it wants me to pay. Are you planning on changing that or do you have to pay to see offspring or relatives?

Honestly thats what I dont like about the database as you can only share peds with members that can actually click on a dog to see further back or forward,,, but also see the privacy for those whom dont want to share them with everybody...
