RIP to the gamest pup I've ever seen

Thanks guys. We raise all our pups indoors & the whelping pen had a heater blowing in the door. I don't know what transpired during the night to cause her condition this morning. But she fought her little heart out today.

I've not thus been consoled yet, as none of her littermates have that vigorous, plucky spirit she had. Maybe I'll have to wait until they get older to see how their character will develop. Right now they're just acting like regular newborns, eating & sleeping.

Since she was so small I would watch Tabitha to make sure she would get enough to eat. Once I got her in place it tickled me to see her root her bigger littermates out of the way & once she got on a teat, she would stick on like a cockle burr. She would slurp away while she nursed & she would knead her little paws like a kitten getting that milk out. Although she was small, I never thought we'd lose her as energetic was she was.

Oh well. I truly hope she's part of God's yard now.
