One other thing I think people might have a lot more Reno, Sad Sack, and Major in there dogs than they know especially if they came through San Antonio! Nothing I can prove but just something most people thought at one time!

I dont know if mr sorrels was in the right place at the right time or what,,,
a corvino base he bred tight for one generation,,,
a crenshaw line he bred for one generation pure,,,
he also out crossed the two,,,
not know one has mr wallaces dogs in their ped,,,
he added the great zeke dog in plenty forms,,,
and put some eli with it by the way of midnight cowboys family!!!

I would say this style of breeding made for longevity that has surpassed most family breeders,,,
hats of to mr sorrels and his ex wife whom helped him preserve and refine it...

due to the different contributing bloodlines origins,,,
I wouls persume mr sorrels got his start in the arizona ace
and ed crenshaw region of desert country
before homesteading the florida panhandle,,,

He got most of the dogs from Hilliard and put his name on them .

 

Not sure about that as much we are that he bred this line and proved them himself...

Which dogs did he put his names on???

OG is right ,if you look at the Joe Testament dog I posted above ,Bert actually gifted him to Mad and Skip and he is the father of Uncle Bud .Bert was a great breeder but yes like many others he did claim some dogs that he shouldn't have.None the Less the man is a Legend .
