Mike, read what I wrote again man, I think your just so stubborn that your looking for the negative in my post. What your saying and what I wrote are the same damn things, DONT expect the dog to RECOVER outside of water from OVERHEATING after you have CONDITIONED their body to stay cool with WATER. I'll take it furthar, NEVER ASSIST YOUR DOG DURING ITS NATURAL COOLING PROCESS OR THE DOG WILL LOOK TO YOU WHEN IT RUNS HOT EXPECTING YOU TO COOL IT OFF, Better?

For my 2 cents. Stress test are done on treadmills to reduce liability. What would the hospital do/say when the patient died from a stress test becuase they could not revieve the patien ...almost, if not interly impossible to do CPR in the water. "oh well we gave him a stress test in the pool and were unable to perform CPR for ten mins while we dragged/pulled them from the water."

There are studies that show swimmers have more artirial plaque then runners...why , gravity helps pull the plaque off the aterial walls into the blood stream and circulates it in the blood and then the bodies filtration system.

One more thing , it's been proven you recruit more muscle running on the land then on any treadmill simply becuase the ground does not 'move' under you but you propell your self over the ground fighting gravity every step forward.

So with my limited knowledge of conditioning Ch/GCh I would be incline to think that roadwork(running) or any other exercise that simulates the stress the dogs heart/body will be under is the best IMHO.

It's more the drugs that cuz the stress than just simply running on the treadmill a lone.

So, you know who I am? I can guarantee you you are wrong.
But like all the young kids who run their mouths these days, you made more of a fool of yourself by talking smack about another who had nothing to do with what I posted on my own.
One should be careful and think about what they post, as you can never take it back.

And for the record, the man Carver was speaking of was Raymond Holt. Dude couldn't condition for shit. (I see the name was already leaked elsewhere.)

And no, I had nothing to say until your posts were nothing but jabbing, providing nothing useful.
You are a mouth runner...all talk. Just like a cur dog, all bark.
I'm surprised a ranker like you has made it this far here with all the insulting and disrespect you have for others.
You're saying "WE" tells me you're a pack rat, a follower. I speak only for myself. 4 handles? ,,, boy, you sure have a messed up mind.

And like I said, you would cry, and you did.
But be careful what you wish for.....you might just get it!
And I don't have to hold my breath...great thing about this sight is one can block the post of low ranking members.
So I don't have to see your childish BS anymore. Your mouth will one day get your ass in trouble....that I wish I could see.

Iron Mike....the biggest internet warrior on the face of the earth. Only reason he advocates mill work and denounces swimming is because he is like most others, and either lacks the eye or is just to damn stupid to understand the concept, and actually be able to apply it successfully. Either way I just think it's funny that as old as he is, and as long as he's been around he's still just a loud mouth wanna be dog man.

Ok I will say it so the guys that are new at showing dogs will get it. If you have a dog that like to swim it is OK to swim him in the start of the PRE keep. swim a dog is good to loosen him up get him ready to start the keep. . Do this no more then 3 weeks EOD. still walk him out well and still rub him down swimming a dog is more of a get ready thing. then after a few weeks swim tanking him play time is over the tank is drained and covered up and then the work starts. and I would not do blood doping I had it done to myself when I was training and getting all beat up my self yea I was a gym rat and a mma rat. BEFORE it was cool. And yes I also used Juice. I was on a great cocktail, EQ- sustonan 250- and deca. and this was my life for about 8 years dog and the mat. Too bad i got old and yall younger dudes got faster and a lot stronger than I rember LOL. The point is I have done it all yo myself. so I can honestly say. the one in the best shape will win 99% of the time. and when I was trying every way in the world to get an edge there was a guy His name was b.hartely he was all nattie I dont even think he drank soda. But he pound for pound was the hardest man I ever seen 212 lbs of steal just fucking un moveable.and thats when I relized there is NO way to cheat hard work,Rest and clean living. and I have hunted with some of the best in the game and my dogs allway shined just as bright as there and alot of them even told me they were jucing and still could not keep up. the way to take hog home is hard work good rest and clean living. I love it when people think they found a way to make Champions in a bottle. at about 110 the ass starts shaking and the eyes get grey then I say shoot boy , and get my hog.

I think NGK, you and I are agreeing on the same thing.
This method is better then swimming.
I know what you are saying about roadwork but also read what I wrote about draw backs to road work for a dog.
Treadmills been around for hundreds of years are still used today.
There is a reason for this.

BTW why hospitals, but stress tests are not limited to them, for the use of treadmills isn't for liability.
If that was the case, they stick only to the inject dye type stress test.
In a true stress test, CT scans are also used.

Drugs? When a person given a stress test, there are no drugs given.......

There is for high risk patients Mike. They inject to induce stress.

Blood dopping isn't cheating. You are using all natural. You are using the same blood from the same dog to enhance its preformance.
    There are NO drugs involved!
This like saying any supplements like carbo plex is cheating...... Get with will you?
