Police are preparing arrest warrants for two Angleton teens after a gruesome video of a cat being killed by a pit bull surfaced on MySpace.com.

Police said Paul Miguel, 17, and a 16-year-old accomplice will be charged with cruelty to animals, a state jail felony.

Miguel and the 16-year-old reportedly filmed an incident in which pit bulls attack and kill a cat and posted it on the popular social networking site.

Someone saw the video and notified MySpace officials, who traced the Web page to the Angleton area and contacted police.

Police said Miguel expressed no regret for the attacks, saying he did not like cats, was proud of his dog and “got a rush” out of filming exciting things and sending them to his friends.

The SPCA took the two dogs from Miguel’s home into custody.

The cat was found in a retention pond behind the home.

Better yet, I wish we'd cull ppl like that from the gene pool. You know what they say about ppl who are cruel to animals.

They will kill the dogs for sure. Too bad. that was very stupid to do. Shame that rotten kids get a good dog and mess its life up. Dogs kill cats that is a given. You have to train them not to. I don't but those that have cats have to socialize them and take precautions to prevent that sort of event. Some people like cats. But soon enough any thing we film the dogs doing will be turned against us. This was stupid granted but one day the same will be said for bear hunting and other. You can write that down we will see a day that all our rights will be shit upon. At one time this would have not made the news. However in that time there were no video's either. I don't think it was smart but I don't think it was something news worthy either. I think it was something worth a good ass whipping with a switch by a father. I would have whipped their stinking asses with a belt for sure. They would not be setting on those asses for weeks. But now that is even frowned upon. Poeple wonder why some of the youth does this shit. It is called spanking, a good form of punishment. The only one that ever worked.

Not all dogs kill cats. From day one my gyp Smokey loved cats. She thinks they're her "babies." On the other hand, there are many dogs who will eat a cat in a second.

As for anything we film being turned against us, that is right on. That may be how dog fighting fell & it is surely how hog dogging is falling.

And you are also right about our rights being sh*t upon. It's already happening at an alarming rate. Sometimes I feel like a frikking port-a-jon.

I also agree at one time this would not have made the news. But at one time kids would not have been out there doing this either. They wouldn't have been owning a pit bull & they wouldn't have tortured an animal b/c they knew if they did they'd get beat bloody by their parents!

IMO that's what kids today need - they're into all this "retro" stuff now. Let's bring back the belt!

I am all for bringing back the belt for more than one reason. One for correction and the other so I don't have to see some kids drawers in public. That is nasty. I know my grandpa would have skinned my ass over some stuff like that. I would still have a hard time sitting.

I know smokey likes the cats but you have had the cats. You raised them together right? I don't think I could introduce a cat into my yard or house for that matter and expect the same result. I would have a mess for sure. As you know I am a bit freaked out by cats. Call me a chicken to cats. lol I don't turn my back on one.

Yea, Cats=Satan. Both created, both for a purpose, both, I dont know the purpose. Cats arent welcomed around here. Thing is , I just went coon hunting the other night, and when the coon is shot in the butt, the bulldog is let loose on the coon, coon's are so close to looking like a cat when skinned that we have to leave one of the feet on the coon when we sale them, so folks will know they arent cats (many a cat has been sold pretending to be a coon). So... should we be skinned alive for coon hunting? I know that what is trash to some is gold to others, but it goes both ways. Oh well, just another point of view. Sad thing is the dogs will be pts. Kids need to be taught what is acceptable in todays society, and what is not. Sad thing is, if I unplugg from this box I am on right now, within a year I'll be doing things I think are just fine, and end up in jail. Has happened to me before. I went to jail in LA for "possesion of an instrument of crime". Got pulled over, threw the handgun on the dash board, and thought the swat team was gona open me up!! Tried to explain that I was from Arkansas, and that was how I was supposed to do things, they said, "Boy, you aint in Arkansas no more!"

What ever you do don't tape it and post it on a public site. Sucks but some people don't find the art in hunting coon. I personally like them on the grill. But I am a country hick. I suppose some would be grossed out that I would eat a coon and not a dang hot dog. I know what a coon is made of. I have no clue what all is in hot dogs.

animal cruelty. I suppose in the nature of how the cat was killed. I wonder though. where is the line drawn. I butcher my own meat and live stock. Will at some point that be some sort of crime? If they ate the cat would it still be wrong? I have been in places cat was something for dinner. And dog for that matter. What defines cruel. I see this as stupid and wasteful of meat. Cruel in the fact that they didn't get an ass spanking and made to eat the damn cat. That the fact is those kids are not going to learn a damn thing from it but become a statistic in the criminal justus system. They will learn some new ways to missbehaive in the JV system with other little shits that do other rotten things. I say beat the tar out of them and put them to work on a cat farm or something like that. The only punishment that ever worked is physical. use the rod and not spoil the child. Use the rope and correct the murderer or rapest. It is just what works. No one that ever met the rope did more crimes against innocent people. A child that gets his ass beat now and then learns not to do dumb shit. I sure learned from it. It made me a better man.

Attila - Smokey was not raised w/ cats. She was already an adult when we got our first cat. But she still loves them. She will lay w/ them & will even wash them, which the cats hate!

On the flip side of that coin I once had a pup named Boze who knew the cats from birth, but still tried to kill them. Go figure. I guess it goes both ways, depending on the dog's temprament.

As for being a chicken to cats, LMAO. That is funny. You are too big to be a chicken concerning cats!

And you are right they should be made to work on a cat farm. I need someone to clean my cats' litterboxes!!!!! And what w/ what these little rats did, they should be made to do it by mouth!!

They never did say what the SPCA was going to do w/ the dogs. They may have a chance at getting adopted into a good home. Let's hope anyway.

As for the 2 kids, I think they should be horsewhipped until their flesh peels from their backs & their parents with them.

And the poor kitty, well ... all he can get now is a decent burial. And he probably won't even get that. He'll probably get tossed in the garbage or thrown in the landfill.

thats a big AMEN! if people can't see that the decline in discipline is in direct correlation to the rise in crime and people doing stupid things, then they are just willingly ignorant. Spare the rod, Spoil the child!

Corporal punishment worked. At home, in the schools. When a kid was sent to the office when I was a child we all knew they were going to get their butt paddled. When my kids were in school they used to broadcast the paddling over the pa system. No one wanted to be heard by the whole school crying. About 10 years ago a man here in the state of Virginia beat his son for taking a loaded gun to school, he used a belt and he sentenced to 9 years in prison for child abuse.
Yes spanking or the threat of a spanking is the only thing that worked.

Ya know with my youngest being only 1 year away from leaving the High School scene...I just can't wait. I have had a belly full of kids whose parents are more concerned about their kids NOT being seen as responsible for doing something wrong instead of being concerned that their kid is on a wicked bad path...it is hard to understand. My friends daughter (14yrs old) was publically molested by a senior on the school bus, his fathers reply was "c'mon, boys will be boys"....the solution to the problem was not for him to stop (or be punished) but for my friend to take her to school and bring her home every day. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard, "my child would never", or "my child is a GOOD child", or "Why are you making a big deal of this?" I would retire. All I can say is this...if one of mine steps out of line, they will get their say, and if they are responsible for doing something wrong they need not fear the school, or the police or anyone else before they fear me....and when I am done with them, they are fair game to the authorities. This is how I grew up and this is how I raised mine...and ya know, knock on wood, we have not had a problem yet....CONSEQUENCES OF ONE'S ACTIONS is a very formidable concept in my house.....................

How awful!!!! IMO both the boy & the father need to be culled. And not by neutering either.

I would be horrified if my son did that! And It is that kind of thinking by parents that allows this type of behaviour by kids to exist!

They still had the strap when I was in school. but they had to have the permission of the parents to use it. I knew when they called my parents and were told no, that my punishment would be much worse when I got home. The strap would have been an easy out LOL. I have seen the degradation of behavior in todays kids and don't need anyone to tell me that it is due to lack of punishment on the parents part. It's as easy as 1+1=2. Common sense. I raised my kids as I was raised and you better believe that they know that the punishment fits the crime

Attila, where we live you are allowed to butcher deer and moose, and a limited number of chickens ( for personal use ) but it is illegal to butcher your own cows, pigs, goats.....whatever is considered livestock. You have to pay for a butcher to slaughter and grade your own meat for goodness sakes.:rolleyes:

It would be unfair for these dogs to be punished for doing what comes naturally, but I know what I would do if these were my kids. They would definitely understand my point after I put the fear of MOM into them. :mad:
