The Texmex line definatly have alot of dogs that are genetically challenged when it comes to conformation, BUT it also have some of the most genetically gifted specimens there is. Form follows function, as previously stated, and the Ws all look great. Texmex best brood bitch is a dwarf, but produced som beautiful dogs.

Thanks for all the informative posts. As for those that caught feelings I did not mean to insult anyone or bash any line. That is not my style BUT as I said was just something I noticed on these dogs and wondered whether there was some breeding secret that the rest of us are missing. I will stick to my plans and views, thought this would make for an interesting topic though. Thanks to those that engaged it on an objective basis.

poderosa pits used to sell pitbull paraphernalia and had a shirt I was particularly fond of in which a man was sitting DEAD in a rocking chair on a covererd porch of an old log cabin with his old trusty bulldog sitting and waiting and it said something to the effect of loyal the bulldog was...

Breeding secret? It's not like long dogs are rare. Doesn't matter what line you run. Hammonds dogs seem to always be pretty tall but outside that I've seen a lot of short dogs

One of my personal favorites right here in Texas too. Crosses real nice with the old Toby and Chucky Junior. I have a daughter of Tex Mex Timmy and she's built like a bulldog should be.

Tex mex kennel is busted . Many off his dogs are now in new comers. His dogs were known for their bite and strength most. Stamania and gameness were not the same quality comparing to his dogs bite and strength. One off the best dogs whic was really game and good one was gr Ch Isabella.

This one was called supah killer, before his when people asked why this name was choosen. Because he had fast 6 kills on his name in his rolls but in his show he was turning in 10 min. Lost in 35 min against a Balkan country dog. Some Years before this he and his dogs went to russians country and there he lost also. Some were game and picked up Some lose, beside this all were happening texmex him self showed his balls he was an true competitie. Big dogman

I also believe selection is a major key too.. As you stated what tex mex dogs were known for.. Another guy could change their traits after a few generations by different selection
