Absolutely, We are doing a few judicious crosses to make a more Rugged Bulldog. Placement of pups in Real dogmen who have camps and travel , ECT. Not to basement dweller's...Lol. Our colby Hounds have the three most important attributes that makes this breed what it is. Gameness, Temperament, and Good confirmation. Truth in family lineage. No paper hanging, Yes for those who are to ignorent or just plain stupid, The are a few winning to this very day. It won't be posted on feds on line, lol. Those who know, Know.

 

Dex Colby was a godfather. I did read a incident he had with his grandchild. What exactly were the events I don't know. I know Colby dogs aren't HA dogs but some of these so called monsters they have nowdays who cares if their 10w. Gameness and temperment is like nice. Were Colby dogs being even til recently tested before bred. Also do they tend to be bigger dogs

My Colby hounds and there offspring range from 36 lbs -56 lbs chain wieght. Let's keep in mind that regardless of lineage, Every now and then a 70 lbs catch wieght hound will come along. Also my boy Rifle who just turned 3 February 17 th 2017 is 35 lbs.chain WT. and his belly mates Krito , and Molly are 47 - 50. chain wieght. IMO, The man who is reading the hounds could play into this in a big way. Such as lack of exercise, work ethic, over feeding ECT. So you're question is directed at the breed as a whole, more so than a certain lineage.

 

Absolutely AGK. We will certainly keep you posted. This is a huge calling as you all know. It's going to require many years of hard work, Placement, culling ECT. We have a common goal. We are going back to the basics of what has made our beloved breed true to their original Origin of Purpose. Gameness/ Temperament/Conformation. For those who might be ignorent to this Fact . There are only 2 animals on the Planet that have the gene "Gameness" The Real Apbt's and a Fighting Gamecock. With these Bulldogs they have to be in the deepest of water , willing and eager to swim back in, and right back out regardless of how deep that water is.
