The dog v the ped

Why do people who believe the dog is more important than the ped or those that believe the ped is more important than the dog argue so much?
They make it seem as if one isnt "as" important as the other. The ped isnt more important that what the dog itself is and in most cases when perpetuating consistency in offspring the ped is as important as the dog itself. But I see guys on social media platforms dry snitching or attempting to get others to implicate themselves with statements like "guys who revere a pedigree havent ever set foot in the box".
If you believe that then good but then what business is it of yours. Surely if that's the case it means these guys that are only concerned with pedigree in your opinion should be producing sub par animals and as you the only real deal it shouldnt affect you because your dogs whose peds are either unknown or irrelevant are far superior to theirs and should easily dispose of them. Easy money every day for you.
I know it was a rant but every day when I just open my fb page I see guys arguing over this. It seems gone are the days of focusing on your yard and improving your program your way according to your truth and not looking over others fences.

One of the bigger red flags is when you said, "every day when I just open my fb page". Just saying.

Secondly the arguments have been going in since the day after the first two dogs went to the box and then 63 days after the first two were bred. Nothing in these dogs has changed since the dog game became the dog game. Every issue that is in the present was in the past as well. Every issue drug up from the past will soon be both our present and our future. (I will say the internet made things a lot easier to see and talk about, but what was out there and what is said is pretty much the same past, present and future)

Either enjoy it or ignore it but don't let it bother you. It was a part of the game before you became a part of the game, and it will be a part of the game long after you choose not to be a part of the game.

I choose to enjoy the debates, and as little as I care about breeding dogs or who bred dogs or how dogs are bred, I thoroughly enjoy the banter. It gives me something to do.

Hopefully you learn to enjoy it as well.

Judgment of the dogs by looking at the pedigree is a relatively new fad. Can't recall much talking about pedigree till the early 2k's. Mostly due to internet and the amount of dogs being sold. However when I really talk dogs off line very few times the conversation is about pedigree. I'm fairly certain for most folks is the same.

    Agreed to a point.

As a kid I remember the dog men talking and the conversations to HC was often, "Is that one off Red Boy too?". Which was followed by "I would like to breed so and so to him".

My heart, my nostalgia wants to think that they already knew about the dog or had already been told about the dog. My head says that was the beginning of the end. LOL

I feel like it has always been a part of things. I can't think of any two things outside of the dogs and porn that exploded anymore with the internet.

I believe for a big majority of younger folks the conversation goes " xyz dog is 50x so and so and is bred to produce. Ok sir I will take 2 pups"

Now that I totally agree with....with absolutely no doubts.

I recently let a guy breed to my male. And it is so funny that you say that because the first person that asked about an available puppy asked. "How many times Red Boy? I answered, "None, Red Boy died forty or so years ago. He didn't breed this bitch once."

It is actually really easy for me to act stupid. Sort of comes natural.
