Tight Mayday (Ch Mr. Mayden to Triple D) breeding

Is this breding good, great, or spectacular. I am leaning towards spectacular.

I am thinking of founding a line on either a dog from this breeding or simply breeding my great acting/looking tight bred Mayday/Barracuda pup to Mr Mayden.

<tt><tt>I ask because I am making plans to eventually breed my Barracuda/Mayday pup who is 3.5 months old. She was the pic of the litter ( I think that RDK only got rid of her because they were getting out of the dogs). Her father is Ch Brusier out of Ruff Dog Kennels. Brusiers father was
RDK's Tank-Desil (POR) who's father was Mayday and mother was Southern Kennel's Chabelis (Ch Dragon Man/Pamela).

Brusier's mother was RDK's 2X winner Cuda girl who was a daughter of Barracuda. My pup, Mindy was out of Brusier bred back to his daughter Diamond

who was a product of Brusier bred to his mother, Cuda girl.

Even though she is tightly inbred she has perfect confirmation, green eyes and a red nose. She is great acting and looking, potentially the best I have ever had in 15 years of experience w/ the breed.

The owner of Mr Mayden will have him in the US for a little more than one year and is planning on freezing his sperm. A year from now is when I would buy the sperm (assuming Mindy turns out as expected.

It will cost close to 2K for the sperm. Another option would be for me to drive my dog to mayden who is about 700 miles away.

Another option is to just get a pup from the above breeding (Mayden to Tripple D). The only problem is that the dog would not be ready until early September. I am a college professor and that would be the beggining of the semester for me. He would be a house dog which takes 2 to 3 intensive weeks of work for me to house break and do basic obedience training which involves a lot of time and getting up twice during the night.

My dogs are amazingly well trained by 4 months (sit/stay/come/out, very few house accidents) but it is a LOT of work during those first few weeks.

I have heard that it isn't so much that he is out of the dogs than his stuff is so good that he can pick and choose what he wants to do.

Those Mayday Jeep crosses look nice.

The more I research these RDK dogs the better they get. My girls grandfather (Disel) http://apbtpedigrees.com/printpedigree/printout.php?recordID=31597 made ROM from only 9 offspring. The ones that didn't make champion were 1, 2 time winners that were retired either for stud/brood purposes or because they had injuries that cut their hunting careers short.

Dogs seem to have it all, looks, conformation, ability/mouth and at least my girl is smarter than the Mayday dog (a son of Haunch) that I had. He was a destroyer but livestock dumb.

At 3.5 months my gal is coming, sitting, holding a down stay, outing off her toys and is great w/ my 11 month old son. If (a big if...I demand 100% succes in obideince and safety before protection training) she continues her excellent progress she looks like a great candidate for her next stage of training, personal protection.

 

I have two out of bruisier, both have great body conformation, and good attitude, the male is a little agresive, the sons of them are very hypers dogs. Maybe in the future i will cross them with some out of FUGITIVO or 30/30.

Wow, that is impressive. I have some friends who train at a Carlson Academy in Chicago. Carlson was the first Gracie to get serious about boxing and stand up striking. Do you do any stand up because I am not going to the ground w/ you. I trained w/ Renzo.

It is so hard to get a BJJ BB that there is little time to train in anything else.

In the last 2 UFC's there were about half a dozen guys I trained w/ either competing or who were trained by former students/training partners of mine. Jay White, my former student who teaches grappling for Randy Coutures school helped the Bosnian guy (forget his name) who won last night.

Absolutely not, Mayday was a well thought out cross between a tightly bred Red Boy/Jocko dog (the Immortal Gd Ch Yellow Rom) and another legendary dog, Hollingsworths Dolly Rom (and she made Rom from ONE litter!) who was line bred on Tombstone/Red Baby/Indian Bolio.

The only knock on Mayday is that some say "well sure he made Rom, he was bred so much" but you can say the same thing about Jeep.

I have been told by the Kennel that produced Mayday that the best results are gotten by cutting his blood w/ a touch of Jeep or Chinaman. The only problem is that when you start outcrossing you are more likely to get great performers but not great producers. Of course there are probably dog men way more knowledgeable than me who will disagree. I am a student of the breed like you and do not proclaim to be an expert.
