    I came across this article and thought it may be of some interest to others...

    Breeding - Game Dog History | Dedicated to Game Dogs

    ...btw I found the pedigree format hard to follow, so the given examples are below....

    Inbreeding : ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [388] :: CHAVIS' YELLOW JOHN (4XW)
    : ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [32458] :: GARRETT'S BRONCO

    Linebreeding : ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [32442] :: THE BOYSCOUT'S TROUBLE II

    Outbreeding : ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [41188] :: NORROD'S GAMBLER

    (....sure wish I knew how to put the peds up on the article screen tho...LOL...)

    Ch. Gambler was line breeding, same as Ch. Red Dog. Distant but still line breeding. Same dogs appear father back in the pedigrees.

    With regards to Ch Gambler, could you care to explain more please??? (...how farther back in the pedigree do you go and how would you define it as a linebreeding.....thanks).
