did he grab the hog by hisself or did u use bay dogs also to bay the hog

 

we had the bay dogs too,my bay dogs will grab ,on a big one they just go in an out until they can all get the hog at one time ,they work good together ,but when the bulldog gets in there he is like a linebacker .

 

do you ever use cut gear? or do you not have that problem around there

 

sometimes in a briar thicket it hangs them up.we did get a dog killed that same week

 

yeah, I usually just use a cut collar if anything. haven't seen any big cutters down in my area, although we had some big ones down in FL where i lived.... 2-4" cutters

 

they are some nie ones around here ,seems like they are smarter and deeper in the swamp unless you catch them feeding in a field
