Money is the root of all evil. It is absolute and most are blind to it. Most hurdles in my life are all over money. They keep printing more for them and ours becomes less in value..
    Happy Independence Day.

I was browsing and saw this topic. lmao are they serious questions? Why they don't look the same because they were crossed into each other by Americans to create a new breed of a better fighting dog.

LOL....and they all still don't look the same!!!.....even all the ones outside of America don't all look the same, yet still breed true to type...patriotism is all well and good but the dogs never did care about such trivia LOL.

Why don't I look like George Washington?

Different families have looks, pass on certain physical appearances. Bolio and Bull were similar. Buck threw a look. Yellow. Eli. Colby dogs had many physical traits pop back up over time. Hammond's ugly mutts cannot be denied. Physical appearance will change up when a different breeder gets something and is breeding for gameness because the gamest dogs appearance will be passed on.

APBTs have the most diverse look than any other "PURE" breed in history otherthan perhas americas oldest type or breed... Catahoula Cur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia was a type that served one of two purposes or both...
To heard livestock and also a catch dog, its safe to say they have our bulldog in them some more than others depending on the purpose...
Our bulldogs came from similar origin and went strickley to the box for over a hundred years...
But before that they were the all purpose hunt, heard and fighting machines that romed the countryside with thier master, free of a teather as shown in the old tapistry of the royal castle seen in strattons book...
Our bulldogs were also a type like the curs used in the south, and when A TYPE BECOMES A BREED, THE BREED PEAKS and IS ON A DOWNWARD SLOPE...
Hence 80s OFRN phenomanon which snowballed into the 90s OFbluenose bobsled and slowed to the new milliniam bullies which finally is coming to a stop at the bottem of the hill with the pocket bullies or English Bulldogges...
I THINK THE MAJORITY OF TODAYS DOGS SHOW A RESEMBLENCE TO THE ORIGINAL IMPORTS AND THIER VASTNESS... LETS KEEP THEM A TYPE AND NOT BREED FOR A LOOK THAT FITS A STANDARD...

What is noticeable in the pics back in the old days, most of the dogs on those pics are mostly white and brindle, don't think I've seen any fawn dogs on the old pics. Where did the yellow colour come from that is in lots of dogs these days??

At the end of the day the APBT is the true representation of the dogs that were brought to the USA, the proof is in the pudding.

I was under the impression that fiery jacks pet had an infusion of bull terrier blood through irish jack going back to barny, therefore a cross, surely? I think your getting a little to hung up on purity.Pitdog= pitdog.
