I agree with you 100% . I also recently watch 42-1 Buster Douglass wins of Iron Mike. It shocked the world. Mike's cut man didn't even have the proper kit with him. He acknowledged that he didn't think he would need it. Buster got in the Best shape of his life, got up from a uppercut that would destroy any man, & went on to win that fight. I believe that the lowest ranked pro fighter will destroy a average street fighter in about 2-3 rounds. One of my all time favorite fights as a young man was Thomas Hitman Hernes, vs Marvin Hagler was one of the most exciting short fights I've ever seen. So many greats. One of the greatest heavyweights of all time was. "Larry Holmes" he got robbed by the judge's.

Mike was "The Best" I have ever seen. He gave all Boxing fans Pride. No matter what color. But I wasn't raised prejudiced my father was so angry when they rob Larry Holmes to keep him from breaking Rocky Marciano's record. I'll never forget my dad was so angry at the judge's, after Larry Homes was Robbed, He said to the HBO commentator, All the Judges can kiss my butt where the sun doesn't shine, And since we're on HBO that's my big black behind ! I also remember the brutal beating that Larry Holmes gave to Muhammad Ali Larry kept dropping his hands and walking away but Ali wouldn't go down , and his corner wouldn't throw in the towel.
The Ref should have stopped that fight. Ali was way past his Prime and just needed the money. On a different note, My main man "Hector Macho Camacho" was great. He just liked to party. Livingston Bramble, said he was like a Pitbull .. Man I'm getting old. Manny Pacquiao is no joke, I saw him get robbed at a outdoor fight. Sugar Ray / Roberto Duran, so many great fights..Floyd Money Mayweather is all that and then some.

Iron Mike, man what a superbly skilled, fast and athletic boxer he was in his prime. Could say even more so about Roberto Duran. Yet their reputations were originally for hard punching, in-fighting.

Re the op. I didn't see the fight, but sounds like Fury was the better (and bigger) fighter night. What do you guys think about Wilder's claim his legs were weakened by the 40lb costume he wore during his entrance? Big athlete in his prime like him you'd think could sprint that costume up and down a couple hills for a warm up.

 

A weak excuse from Wilder, when he was a real sport he must just admit that Fury was the better boxer of the two that night.

Agreed 100% his impressive legacy is solidified in stone forever and he is a master of the boxing craft . He will only be appreciated more and more. Not only for changing the game either. He actually fought the top competition. His skills are a beautiful thing to watch I can’t understand how someone could call him boring.

He has hinted fighting again . I know since ufc president Dana white has officially came into the boxing game, Floyd and him have been working together.

Personally I think Floyd has nothing more to prove he should hang it up and he’s older now.If he does fight it should be against a ufc fighter that would be easy money
