What do we here, all the time. That we listen to the oldtimers,so we most of the time. Take their word as bulldog gospel. For instance ive had the chance to sit side by side with Bullyson Hall,He taught me alot.I never said it wasnt any great dogs today. Go back to all the great stories we have read, look close at details. All the 1x,2x....DGL...Where can I read offgreat dogs of today,From 2000 to date. That acomplised feats, like dogs from the 70-80s.....where its no comparison

Yeah you rarely find many that want to openly talk about committing felonies, or write stories about them. Well you may find some but I guarantee it's not smart

  5. I like what u say here bob a little old fashioned common sense throw in a bit of abject clarity makes you worth listening too

  6. I'm just throwing this out there, but wasn't he/his family known for producing, intelligence, and style? From what I've read they bred him to deeply game, hard biting, barnstormers that lacked style and intelligence. I've been lead to believe gameness is more useful as a scale to reference, rather than an all or nothing rule. Obviously the cross has been successful and I'm pretty sure it's been getting thrown around for more than a decade and it's still having success for more than a few people.

My advice is to make your own informed decisions, look at stats, take old timers word for it, or not! It's your choice what you use, it's your job to know what you have when looking for a mate to better the breed. The people who bred him had a reason they saw fit and didn't ask our opinion, or for their approval. At this point we've left the dog game and entered the world of misinformation. Here's how a sore loser thinks. Can't beat em? Join em! Can't join em? Make up stories that degrade their stock/credibility!

We got up, cleaned up the yard, worked the dogs, cleaned puppies up, then it was time to take a break. Now we had our reference, SDJ reports, PDR, YF&M, talk to our compatriates, and opened our weights. We ha a "Reference point" it was an open time 70s 80s 90. Now we have no Reference point. We can't call around and discuss what everybody else is using. Too much risk. Too much too lose. The Handler, you are right! We lost our game.

All I can say is good thing he wasn't on our yard back then! If I made A list of the dogs that ended up in Georges crawfish pond you all would think it was B.S. Now that being said he for sure produced some good ones!

Well if Snooty or Rascal was on my yard just how they where breed, I would have taken a chance to see what they could put on the ground for me.

What if you had Art, Toby (tobe & rose breeding) King Solomon, and access to Saloon, and Stu Fowler ? Would you still make A chain spot for them?? Taking into account you didn't know they would throw some good ones!

Robert Barefield owned him, out of Norwood La. Robert had his hands on some good blood. Also had a son off Pool Hall Red, named Jeff. I would go to the ends of the earth to have that dog right now.
