I know Scott and Johnson were together at one time and they went their separate ways. Johnson or Scott could not agree on which direction the dogs needed to go into.

White is a bad color if you don’t wan’t your dog to be readily seen in a low light deployment. White is a good color if you want your dog to be readily seen in a low light hunt. Working traits before color. I’m guessing white is the predominant color because the Am.B. was intended to be seen in the bush, as I can’t think of other reasons to breed for this color.

  3. I forgot about Scott. He also had some good game bred Patterdales.
I know a lot of hog hunters didn't like a white or large portion of white on their dogs because it made them stand out. I knew a Catahoula breeder/hunter that told me that.

I remember back then one of the best known Bulldogs was Johnson's Mean Machine

  4. No mate they are a blag breed.defiantly made up in the 1950s.cross bred pit bulls.
Semetrics book gladiator dogs has a pic of one from 1920 but it just looks like a white Colby dog to me.

AGK one of them dogs(the muzzled one) is a Scottish Poll.

The breed called Victorian bulldogs to day are not from the Victorian period.they were designed by a man from London called ken Merlot.
They are a blatant mix of show pug bulldog/staff and bullmastiff.
I no some body who’s got them and the pups sell for stupid prices.they are healthier then a show kennel club pug bulldog, and better to look at to with more drive-but there still shit LOL.

    All the best folks.
