Working staffys in America?

Please dont say you proved me wrong by 2 dogs catching a hog? I have neve saw a staff in the parts I live in.And oh since you are clearly the expert we could see your name as the breeder in your best staffie at least 5 generations deep right?

Toom why do you suggest to cross a staff to a jagd or patt , what's the logic behind that?

We pretty much have the bigger dogs covered with the apbt or even bigger with a good AB.I like staffy's to be small inbetween a 20lb patt and a 45lb apbt.So I'm thinking if a small group got together for a project dog and bred a nice hunting jadg or patt you'd get some nice 25LB to 30LBers with lots of vigor.I'm not saying to keep breeding the jadgpatt into the line.I would find a male out of this that bolts right into a hog every time and breed him until you get another male or female that does the same and so on so on.I understand why it's also wrong to cross the staffy it's just I'm not worried about owning a papered staffy and I would want them small in the 20s and 30s range.

 

I see and if I understand you right the jagd and patt would benefit from a good staff and not the other way around. I have some jrt with plenty of grit but lack finishing power therefore the get punished more than what I'd like em to. I've decided to go to 3/4 jack 1/4 staff and see where that takes me. I had two jagds, one quit on a coon, the other one wouldn't work so they were both put to sleep. I also work patts but no way I expect my staffs benefit from a den working terrier but the other way around.

there's no established line or lines of staffords but there's plenty of them out there bred worker to worker, something better than breeding peds.

it doesnt take a rocket scientist to tell you went from not knowing or caring to know the difference between amstaff and sbt, to knowing some dogmen somewhere not in america who own sbts, really?
if you do know some dogmen somewhere in the world, good, im glad cause that's what people with working sbts have been working on for years.
what do you expect people to show pics of sbts in a box? or w titles, people with a peanut for brain would expect to see that in an open/public forum.

you and whoever else can believe what you want, just dont talk about sbt when there isnt much to talk about because of lack of hands on and knowledge.

many people know me on this forum and they know what i do with my dogs, the blood i run, the dogs i import, there's gotta be something people see in me that let them trust me with their hard earned working sbts to put them in my hands.
