    Colby's Bob-tail Bob 21x W, also produced Mitchell's ( Seaton's Pincher ) 15x W.
J.P. Colby's Pincher was a punisher and a great all around dog but was also a larger dog than most so not sure how many of those battles were evenly matched. He was also used as a try-out dog when J.P. was getting new dogs from England and Ireland, if they could last a few minutes with Pincher the dog was a keeper.

Bob-tail Bob was a smaller dog and was evenly matched for his wins so he gets my vote.

  2. There was a fantasy match thread a while back, and one of the posts asked who would win Pincher or Bob tail bob...I said Pincher in a landslide...what do you think?

The old mens stories of Edwards "Molly B" chill me to the bone! Said she could shake one right out of it's skin & Let's not forget good'ol Chinaman too...

  4. I agree about Chinaman's stories...they say he tried (and succeeded) in gutting opponents often. The stories passed down give him the air of a greyhound and the mouth of an alligator.

I'll go with Bob-Tail Bob , them crazy ass kinked tailed dogs are wired all wrong in a game way. My last male was the last kink tail that came from the Colby's and i can tell ya he was wired like i've never seen before on any dog. Again Pincher was an out standing dog but was mellow and laid back , Bob-tail had very high drive according to Lou. Either dog gets my vote they were both great warriors for thier time.

I'd have to agree with JayStreet and add BBB's Gr Ch Spikey in there, great dog and a great cross.

  8. Nobody will one day know this and who thinks he knows it lasts maybe amazedly. I have too much respect for these dogs to meet a choice. They were both unique Bulldogs.:)

Another great dog that i'm suprised was missed ,Rushin Bill's Gr Ch "35" 8xW , what I like about this dog was is unknown back ground. This little dog was expected to be fodder and used as a whipping boy but turned out to be a great warrior.

I would have to add santa's gr. ch. mongoose. I have read only a story of him, but i guess it has enough. I consider him to be a true bulldog. Another favourite of mine is Gr ch Maydday adn Ch Homer. (bought of them :D). Also , i was impressed by Colby's Pinscher and Blackjack .

Where to Start? Well my all time favorite dog is probably Zebo. There is so much to like it's hard to list everything.

Follow that with Going Light Barney. What can I say about this dog other than the fact that he was originally..........blue brindle!? Yep. Richard F. Stratton himself wrote about the gameness of blues back in the day.
    From his website:

I also have respect for Yuebank's CH. Greaser, one of Zebo's toughest matches. This is a match I would compare to Frasier vs. Ali. In his time, Greaser was known as the best 44 pound dog alive and was supposed to take down the "killer" Zebo. To my knowledge, it still stands as Zebo's most famous match, am I wrong?

I also recently read about Tudor's Gr. Ch. White Rock. It is said that he won 5 contract matches in less than a year and was rumored to be the hardest biting dog in the history of the APBT. Hmm, I don't know if I believe the last part, that's hard to prove. I mean the dog was from the fifties, that's a lot of dogs since then.

  12. I agree Zebo was definately a bad a$$...as were his siblings Vindicator and Rosie. I think that the issu that alot of people take to the modern day blue dogs stems from modern day breeding practices. The ideas is that blue is just a color and a good dog is where you find him, but there are people that are trying to capitalize financially on selling blue dogs because of their popularity. Read these good old threads... http://www.game-dog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17895&highlight=runyon and http://www.game-dog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17895&highlight=runyon specifically the posts by chatnjack...then there's always the famous 1936 battle in Oklahoma city of Runyon's Colorado Imp, and the foundation of the AKC's Amstaff line.

I dont have any "favorite" GrCh's but here are a few that come to mind when thinking of outstanding accomplishments..

Rebels' GrCh"Sampson".. won 5x taking BIS 5x..Allens'GrCh"Zincer" was one of his opponents that he pulled against..Read somwhere that he was sterile due to being on the bottle his whole career..

Roadblock's GrCh"Joey"..saw on tape where he out pulled GrCh"Texas" and Ch"Waldo"..Also out pulled Ch"Redman"..Definetly a first class bulldog..Voted SDJ DOY in 92..

Denny's GrCh"Bo"..out pulled Groves' Ch"Tank" & Ch"Brute"..Its been said that most people that saw him in action considered him one of the finest at his wt ever..
Rebels' GrCh"Shady Lady"..5 spulls with a total time of under :45 with her longest pull lasting :14..
